Hi All,
Just a note to say Today / Tonight we're trialing a new way of doing the chat, this will hoepfully cut down on disconnections, and connection problems. This is now one very large server, with large capacity. We hope stopping the need to jump between servers should help a lot of people out with disconnections.
It also removed the need for the 5 minute wait and logout option.

Well done Elliot! This is much better as a single server, will take some people a little while to get used to it, but it's far better than jumping between different servers.
Also at long last that 5 minute delay has gone! Tried it and it worked perfectly! This will make the whole chatroom easier to use and hopefully will stop people constantly complaining about the 5 minute delay.
Well done everyone involved. All you back room boys and girls should celebrate with a bottle or two. Well done all!

I see you've increased the number of public rooms but will you also be increasing the numbers allowed in a room again Elliot?

I agree with Tabbyntina. Thank god the 5 mins rule has gone.
Good move guys, saves having to change font colour when I move from server to server. I like it.

any chance of calling it the crap room cos it just aint working
how are people allocated to a room on joining the chatroom server now? Is the algorithm the same as it was before?
finding very slow response times to changing rooms , loading up etc . then very slow to load cams ( if it does) . plus some lag on chat .

Ive been disconnected 3 times so far tonight.
there appears to be a lag in typing hitting enter and text appearing on the screen.
is that just me?

Well in principal its ok, but in practice its so slow its doing my head in. Keeps freezing up and crashing. Its good not having to wait 5 mins to get back, but it buggers up the chat you are having. Most frustrating.

Personally I preferred the four servers
Less rooms to scroll though and you pretty much knew which server to go to to find your 'mates' and certain room types
I could never see the need for the 5 min rule and it was a right pain when you got booted through no fault of yr own, so good to see that gone
Do not like it at all chat so slow, showing up in room and sometimes not showing at all have to go to another room then back, prefered old way and could tolerate the 5 min wait just miss the fast chat keep wanting to fall asleep lol.
Well done on getting rid of the 5 min wait - big improvement and ty to the folks in the back room working on this. But i have to say that the lagging of the chat is seriously annoying, hopefully this will be rectified soon
Its so slow!!! You can type & go and make a coffee before what you've typed actually appears on the screen??? :giggle:
