OK magazine re Jade Goody.

We have just seen the latest magazine in Marks and Spencer, near the till area.
It is black edged and states Jade Goody 1983-2009.
The magazine is clearly making it look like she is already dead.
I am amazed at the bad taste at this edition. Are they scared she may die when their magazine is not due out, and that others publications make beat them to it?!

I agree. It would serve 'em right if Jade now made a miraculous recovery, then she (and the rest of us) would have a good laugh. She could frame the front page and put it on her bedroom wall!

On that point
Met a old friend recently, not seen her for years.
She had been diagnosed with lung cancer, lost her hair, loads of treatment, mega ill, told she had 6 months to live.
Spent all her money, had a great time with her family, they did lots of expensive stuff.
SHE RECOVERED!!
She and the Doctors dont know what happened, but it all went!
I asked her if she had turned to God, as most say that when this amazing thing happens, and she avoided my question!
She is skint, but alive, amazing.

She is skint, but alive, amazing.
that happened to a guy in the newspaper a year or so ago, he got diagnosed with prostate cancer, blew his savings having a party and then got told it was a misdiagnosis, so he sued.
you say shame on the magazine but what about her, i was reading a magazine the other day and as i was going thro it there was a picture of her looking very ill in bed at home with her kids sat at the side of her looking very sad......sorry but shame on her for allowing that pic to be taken and published, theres a fine line and allowing pics of your children crying at your dieing bedside is not only crossing that line its wiping your feet on it on your way over :shock:

couldn't agree more ok she wants to make money for thier future her choice yes but some dignity is called for i feel

What's worse is that while we sit here exchanging our various views on Miss Goody we forget that most magazines, despite their reputations and how we feel about them, do not normally publish without the express wish of the person involved.
So it turns out that Jade has given permission for all of these photos AND articles that have been published so far. And while the punters continue to lap it all up, she continues to have even more photos taken, and articles written, for the following day's issue.
Yes I sympathize for the situation she finds herself in, and I appreciate she's concerned about the future of her kids, but I can't help feeling that she's doing this because she can't stop herself. And I'm sorry to say I find that rather ugly.
