i know im not great, but i try and if im always unsure about spelling when placing an ad and i would check things, even if it was only on word!
i've never read a book in my life, not a whole one, but that doesnt mean im thick!
i have a great job, nice house ect and good prospects.
im just lazy i guess, but there are still levels of grammer that i would expect, and the reason being it doesnt take two mins to spell check and re-read, well it doesnt, does it?
have fun every body,lm a little messy, hope ur all ok?
nite nite all x
I enjoyed reading through this thread...
Another newbie here.......I recently posted an ad as a single female interested in meeting with single men for no strings fun.
I was warned that I would get inundated with responses and I did, lucky me! .....To be honest I could afford to be picky and did delete some messages based on what has been said in this thread.....although the ones that put me off the most were the ones who just sent pictures of erect penises and asked when i was "up for it"..
I am personally guilty of dropping in a "u" instead of a "you" sometimes but I am used to texting. IN my defence though, I did respond to those who actually attempted to write a bit about themselves and what they wanted, spelling errors or not.... I do have manners.
BUT as much as I am looking for no strings sex, I AM actually interested in who I am going to be sharing my bodily fluids with, an erect cock doesnt tell me anything and I am a bit of a snob when it comes to spelling and grammar ...
*right....double spell check...post!!!!!!*
I have been reading this thread with increasing interest and have found a lot of good advice, as well as a lot of laughs. Thanks folks for brightening up my day!
Going back to the original post, I think that you will find that the plural of faux pas is faux's pas. I cannot be one hundred percent certain of this, but am % sure.
Like you the school I was at had a hard enough time teaching us English. What French i have learnt is that learnt by experience, and although the language theory is not that good the practical is pretty HOT!
I can handle a little bad spelling, punctuation or grammar. There's no real excuse for it (apart from dyslexia or english not being your first language) but as long as it's easy to understand your post, you could type everything badly. That's fine.
The thing that i've noticed a lot, and which really pisses me off, is that people are posting stuff like "anyone want to cam tonight?" THAT'S ALL!
How pathetic is that? I mean, there's only so many ways you can ask it, but at least tell us what you're looking for! A girl? guy? couple? goat? A lot of people have ambiguous names too, so i'd like to see people fill in their profiles, and add a little about themselves in their sigs too.
No wonder so many people are having no luck with this site if that's the way they attract people. I'd hate to see them in a pub or club on the pull.
It's always people with 3 posts that do this as well. I know a lot of these people are new to the net, and message boards, and this lifestyle (i'm a newbie in respect to the last one there) but surely sense tells you to hang back, sniff out the situation and learn a bit before ploughing in?
Surely they must see that the previous 10 guys (and it's ALWAYS guys!) who posted such nondescript, lazy requests for camming got nowhere? Or even ridiculed? Jeeze, people, make an effort. We certainly wouldn't meet up with someone who, in their attempt to ATTRACT us, ffs, was monosyllabic, and we had to wrestle info out of.
Spend the extra minute thinking about what you're posting. It WILL be the difference between you being successful or not.
2 points from me(1) I hate bad grammar but as we are only human mistakes can be made.
(2) I may be a single guy but have not joined to pesterthe females or
anyone else come to that, i just want to make new and hopefully
genuine friends!!.
always remember..Karma -everyting eventually comes back to you
whatever you do in life.
lots of love to all Royxxx(Not always this serious Honestly!!)
All very good advice,
I am a "newbie" to this site and had quite a lot of difficulty finding a site for swingers that was easy to navigate, british & had many members. I must say i am impressed with this site and love reading all the posts.
Keep up the good work.
Ally xx
