Thats a realy shame, we were really looking forward to this. Whoever would want to spoil it for us all? We will get our thinking caps on and see if we can come up with anywhere suitable.

I've been toying with the idea of a Summer barbeque social
It'll be more of a one-off of course, and not really the ongoing thing you was talking about, but I have got a venue in mind, and it could be a fun day
, assuming the weather is kind
I've no experience in organising such things, so if anyone wants to run with the idea, then I'll give them the location I've got in mind...or....I could just set the wheels in motion myself
The biggest gamble would be the weather, but hey, its been done before :lol:
Anyone think there is some mileage in it? August maybe?

I've been to a bbq social and it worked well. No pressure on anyone, you can bring your own grub so fussy gits like me even have something to eat, and you can run it from afternoon to early evening to let different people come as and when able to.

The thinking cap's been hard at work. It seems to us that a Pub Landlord would be mad to turn down all this extra custom but we can understand what we are about is not for everyone.
Surely there must be a pub with a private room somewhere who would welcome the extra trade especially at times like this.
