How many swingers on this site, are prejudiced against other's of a certain age? It seems to me there is an age barrier and if someone of a different age wishes to join in, they are ignored or not wanted, which amounts to the same thing.
Perhaps it is embarrassment, a generation gap, an attitude of. ( they are old enough to be my father or my Mother) did there ought to be sections? groups of similar ages, who participate together? all within the Swinging Heaven Club?
Just a thought that all Swingers should be ready to mix, even with other people who are above or below the ages of themselves. redface surprisedops:
Just one question.....
Why should people change their preferences just to accomodate others?
Everybody has their own likes and dislikes and should never go against what feels right just to allow people to join in..
It would lead to unhappy experiences all round in my opinion.
O.K.~
Nope. No age-based prejudices here. Vix (34) & I (40) tend not to pay much attention to the ages when reading the responses to our ads. To that end, we've had three "dates" with a lovely couple who were both in their late-40s, and we're looking forward to an upcoming liaison with a 22 y/o single female. We're far more interested in the personality - age just being a number - so if you're friendly, articulate and capture our interest, it doesn't matter how young or old you may be!

I am 35 and Shireen will be 41 in december so not prejudiced at all.
We just have prefered ages of people we like to have fun with thats all
smile
We don't really have any preferences,if a couple who are in thier 40's look and sound lkike the type of people we like then thats not a problem.
yes we agree not bothered about age of people we meet as long as there is some chemistry between us all
been with 20 30 40 so were not age ist surprised
biggrin
i`ve got no problem with an age gap just as long everybody is having a ball
we have swaped with 20 somethings and 60 somethings and had a great time
We're the same, age doesn't matter at all.
Must admit to having doubts about having fun with under 25's but not any more lol

Well, I'm 33 (but you all knew that wink ) and in the last 6 months I've had "liaisons" with people (male and female), varying from their early 20s to well into their 50s. In the past my "liaisons" have included everything from just legal redface to almost pension age.....
Nope, don't think anyone can accuse me of being ageist cool
Now I sound like a total SLUT don't I!!! surprisedops:
I have fun with all ages...... and I hope they have fun with me......... wink
I'm with Homer on this one: Preferences shouldn't automatically be regarded as prejudices, and besides, with so many people on the scene I'm sure every taste is amply represented. The trick is to identify the people who are compatible with your particular preference and approach them in a way that makes them want to get to know you.
I openly admit that I will say to someone, I'm sorry but I feel uncomfortable with your age.
I am 22 and find that playing with someone who is aged 55 is playing with my parents generation. They are the same age as my parents, which I can't seem to get out of my mind and is a major turn off for me. Likewise I have been turned away because they have chidlren of a similar age to me. I don't grumble, I find someone who does want me. biggrin
I am open to new experiences to a point, so I would never say never.
Would I change my preferences to suit everyone else? confused I don't think so and why should I?

Thank fuck I am only 51 then wink
Yeah......... but don't leave it to long.......... Oh and give me some warning so I can stock up on Viagra wink
I'm used to viagra munchers! Great stuff that is! Fantastic effects ;)
Is it enough warning to say "see you at Satin's party" ?
That will do nicely................ I will bring a few extra..... wink

Back on topic.
Would anyone have issues if they were turned away for being too young? does this offend people more or less than being turned away for being too old?

I'd be bluddy delighted :lol2:
Would you be as delighted if they told you were too old though Ice?
I know I'd feel more paranoid about being told I was too old than too young.
Reading this thread has made me think about some of the adverts that Db and I have read and, due to the age difference between us (15 years),we fall outside the criteria the person/people is/are looking for.
My personal opinion on this matter is that so long as there is some chemistry and the person/people have a good sense of humour and some character, age doesn't really bother me!

I don't think it would bother me. It's never happened, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be offended.
I do think it is down to whether you click or not. Some people are great fun to be with so their age is very irrelevent.
As for rejection. I have no fear of this, but I do take personal comments rather to heart some times. I don't like upsetting people and dislike conflicts of any sort so I sometimes feel awkward saying, I'm sorry you're not for me/us.

Put like that it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. I might, however, be a bit unchuffed by "bugger off you dirty old man." biggrin
How about when a young single guy puts up a post, some of the more mature seem to attack them for it??
(Admittedly from what i've ssen they're a bit lame in the way the go about it!!)
On'y an observation, no offence guy's

OK, that does happen, but do you think it's because of the poster's age or because of what they wrote? The thing is, there are some people, and they tend to be young, whose social skills need developing beyond the level of "anyone fancy a shag?". Trust me, if you're mature in your approach, you won't be attacked just for being young.
Ice
People don't get the piss taken out of them on here cos of their age. We take the piss out of crap posts whether the poster is 18 or 80! We just like taking the piss, but boy, some really do deserve it! rolleyes wink
Yeah i see your point, thats why i put up the post about being taken seriously as i don't want to be tared with the same brush.
(you're right there are some kids on here who deserve it! lol)
hehe no need to worry about brushes here, just watch out for the erm feathers and whips and dildos!! lol
