Thanks for all the comments, and Corrie I don't know so much about a quiet dinner. There was a point when I started to think about where the nearest fallout shelter was situated.We walked into our hotel suite only to find they had given us the wrong room. 3 months of planning down the pan.
The porter said he would check the room situation so we waited. It seemed an eternity....I had to endure such comments as "if they've messed up the room then there won't be a wedding tomorrow".
We finally decided to go down to reception where the hotel manager receved both barrels.
Any way all's well that ends well. 'The' room is being made available today and we got 2 complimentary nights plus anything we wanted to drink.
Anyway, the day is finally here, I can't wait, so I'm signing off to go and get some brekkie.

It seems the wedding ceremony went as planned with them getting married at 5pm, followed by a limo trip to the London Eye for photos, then on to the reception and more photos!
It is now Mr and Mrs Bassman or Mr and Mrs Fembernie
The Groom, washes and scrubs up well and looked very dapper. :giggle:
The Bride, :smitten: well stunning does not do her justice, a white corset style dress, with flared skirt, small headband of white satin flowers, her bouquet was yellow / orange coloured lillies with green foliage.
It was fun watching the ‘vanillas’ getting drunk, during the evening reception party, great disco, loads to eat and drink, plenty of dancing and talking, all the swingers behaved themselves, well just (HandH you know what I am talking about)
HandH I am convinced that the people you were talking to are swingers, well she is, so if you 2 are looking in

Corrie also stunning as usual.
Just sat here and eaten the wedding cake for breakfast, and I still keep finding Ferrero Rocher, Mrs Bassman you have a lot to answer for!

I got to London at am to meet Bernie and go to the hairdressers so I have the unoffical photos of Bernie in Bassmans shirt getting here hair done . Then she was off to her hotel suite which, as Bassman told you, was changed for the big day. What a suite is was! absolutely stunning as was the bride. I just kept filling up looking at her - she was radient. I have have never seen two people look so happy.
The wedding went without a hitch although Bassman said "I do" much to early as he was so impatient to get that ring on Bernies finger :lol: :lol: We then went in a limo that stopped for photos by the London eye and the exceptional photographer took photos.
We danced the night away and it was lovely to see H and H. Sarah and Mal as usual were stars with Mal walking me back to my hotel in the poaring rain!!!!!!! Thank you so much
Today they are having a well earned rest before packing to go to Australia. Knowing them they will find time to come and say hello over the next 4 weeks.

We just can't keep away, well not for long anyway.
Bernie is having a well earned rest, whereas I'm wide awake so have gone home grabbed the laptop and legged it back to our suite to log on.
As Sarah and Corrie have said Bernie was a sight to behold and I am very proud that she is now my wife, my lover and my best friend all rolled into one beautiful package.
You will still see us here as Bassman and fembernie though.
These next 2 days can't go quick enough for me before we board that flight down under though.
We will try and keep you posted throughout sections of our trip provided we can get online access.
Failing that we will just have to sort it once we return.

Having arrived at the venue, greeted the bride and groom, and we are then talking to Corrie, (been in the building for all of about 5 mins or so) when one of the Bride's sisters come up to us, :shock:
Her (Bride's sister):- Hello I am xxx, you are? And is it is the Bride or Groom you know?
Mal to Her :- Sarah knows the Bride, pointing at me. :shock:
Her:- Really, how?
Me:- eh well some time ago (floundering somewhat)
To be interrupted by Corrie. (Thank goodness)
Corrie:- Oh (name of sister) we have all known each others for years.
And she promptly changed the subject. :lol:
