Just watching Grease for the first time, don't spoil the ending please :lol2: My mom and father decided I was 'too young' to see it when it came out and so I am only now just seeing it after buying it over Christmas lol lol
Based on what Mrs B said, I am now looking forward to the ending and am not returning to this thread until my dvd has finished biggrin

...the bit where the hero dies... of choking consumption... after the love of his life steps over his wracked body in the detritus of the blast from which he saved her... she never knowing that he was the one to have protected her for years from the horrors that would have befell her...
... but he just has time to see... drawing his last gasp... her run into the arms of his dreadfull mill-owning father... who had beat him, and covetted her for many a year.
what film was that?
lp

Bugger ...Just thinking of Michael Caine how could I forget ..........
The Italian Job
Braveheart
"They fought like warrior poets............they fought like Scotsmen...........and won their freedom"
Two spring to mind for me, The Green Mile and One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest.
I love the look Antony Perkins gives the camera at the very end of Hitchcock's Psycho. Really chilling.
Rutger Hauer's (improvised) speech at the end of Bladerunner.
Jimmy Cagney in White Heat; "Made it, Ma! Top o' the World" Ba-Boom!!!
The endings of
Nanny Mcphee :smug: has a lovely ending
The Hitcher (original)
Green mile
Dead man's shoes
Ooooooh there are soooo many to choose from!!
Definitely Titanic - Makes me cry every time.
Green Mile - Awww no fair!!
Dirty Dancing - Patrick Swayze, Phwwwoooooaaaaar!!!
Palomino (Danielle Steele) - Gorgeous Ending
And okay, I know these are not Films, but they ARE kinda wonderful endings:

It's just doodles! wink
The film that always has me with a trembling stiff upper lip is Zulu. When they do the roll call at the end of it.

What... The Dog from the Tweenies?
Let me get this right, you spend all day in Latex dresses, writing on SH, sorting out Chatroom issues and drawing pictures of a big red and yellow dog?
There's a hell of a backstory there isn't there?
Would you like to come and lie down on my couch so we can discuss these issues further? Don't worry, I am entirely professional and I won't charge for the first session. ;-)
Mrs Doubtfire
damn... how could i have forgotten the ending of the italian job... which someone mentioned....
The great escape..... boys own film...
Escape to victory... pele scoring the overhead...stallone saves penalty... escape thru the crowd.....
Also the end of Rocky... (does anyone actually remember he lost the fight for all the scream of "Adrienne")
and the Ending of "field of dream" when the dad and son are playing baseball......that actually made me cry!!!
One flew over the cuckoos nest!!! Fab film and was my first ever over 18 film (Think it was designated x in those days)
Last of the Mohicans - the fight at the end never fails to to ake my heart pump harder and faster -
Betty Blue - a great film look at madness and some great sex scenes - again sad ending but soo good
and yes I agree with pretty women lol
The Classic, Gone With The Wind, at the very end when he doesn`t give a damn and Scarlet looks out and says "Well tomorrow is another day" and you get that gorgeous south carolina sunset
Tears of the Sun & The Notebook
Not at the end of the film I know, but when Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore stand either side of the door
and "Unchained Melody" is playing in the background
in Ghost,it sure brings a lump to the throat and tear
to the eye for me,always reminds me of loved ones that have passed away ! sad
