I'm sitting at my PC using various gadgets (I am a gadget freak) and wondered what everyone thinks is their own best buy gadget since January 2004.
The one which gives me the most enjoyment is my iPod - sorry John
The one which makes me smile the most is my electric pencil sharpener
The one which I have made most use of is my digital camera OR my breadmaker...

My iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod, my iPod.
My dictaphone - not learned shorthand yet.
My Nokia 6600 - just got to get some new numbers to waste my free minutes on.
My digital camera - so far fighting the urge to take pics of my willy with it.
And from summer last year, my laptop. Life is truly unimaginable without it.
My digi-cam - for holiday snaps of course! lol
and my Cordless optical mouse - wonderful when using the lappy - I can't work this touchpad!
My new mobile camera phone!! I didn' realise you could have so much fun with a phone, the camera is great especially for taking saucy pics!!!! hump
I think my AV340 (fancy mp3 player) is the only gadget I've bought this year, so it's the best by default. If it was since January 2002, it'd be getting some strong competion from the laptop and wireless network. But it'd probably still win.
My new razor - it makes shaving FUN!
Okay maybe that's a little OTT, but at least I've only cut myself about five times since I bought it, so it can't be bad.

ooohh got to be the digital camera for all those pics you were too scared to take in to boots!!
cordless mouse and keyboard. i hate sitting at a computer desk so i thought, why not operate the pc from the comfort of the sofa....great idea. unfortunately the mouse is out of range and i can't see what i'm typing 'cus the screen is so far away. apart from that, definitely one of my better ideas.
convertible. i know it's not strictly speaking a gadget....but let's face it, the combination of kids and this climate, it's not exactly practical is it...
bed head.

You are probably right. - But I had my top off (see who bites) any day that it didnt rain!
You take your top off to see who bites? You must make a lot of friends!
Mine fave purchase of last year has to be my digi cam - I've never had so much fun since I bought it last summer, who'd have thought a cheap cam from Argos could have seen so much use
I really must get round to getting a camcorder one of these days, then I really will be set for an active sex life
BTW, what the hell is an iPod - I feel like life is passing me by redface

It's small, sexy, white, and runs on batteries.
It's an mp3 player - with a hard drive that's small in size but large in capacity, so you can have your entire CD collection in something the size of a walkman.
Oh right, thanks DJohn....
But what is an MP3 player?
No, only kidding, I just about know what one of them is rolleyes
I havent got any gadgets this year as yet...
I have heard bad things about the iPod, that although it will play many hours of music, the batteries only last a very short time so most of your collection on the machine would go unlistened to. lol
In the new DABS newsletter there is the Creative Jukebox 2, a 10gig personal mp3 player that has a 16 hour battery life, its quite tempting as I have many many many mp3s.
Take a look at this, blue:
Nice, what a good idea - but bloody hell, aren't they expensive
Call me Scrooge if you like, but I don't like parting with hard earned cash (OK, not that hard earned rolleyes ), but I'll put in on my list of things to buy myself when I sell my house lol
Guilt someone into buying it for you. When's your birthday?
September, but seeing as I forget people's birthdays very regularly (mum, dad and nan all included this year redface ), I don't hold out much hope of anyone buying me an iPod!
Best technology bought:
Headrest screens and DVD player for car - complete silence on a four hour journey with 2 kids - worth it's weight in gold and would recommend it to anyone with kids from the age of 4 onwards - and they have never complained once of travel sickness.
Best fun bought:
The Love Swing. Without a doubt the best £65 we ever spent on bedroom accessories.............

Haven't bought anything redface I'm tighter than a wet knot. Besides , it's a leap year so the children are due new shoes.
But I did get to play with a friend's Digital Radio and that is definitely on the shopping list: can anyone advise as to best makes, types, sources etc?

You just crack me up Arti, you really do. Seem to spend a lot of my time following you around the forums in stitches!
artificer - you could consider the TEAC SR-L30 Dual Band DAB/FM Radio among the portable DABs.
If you 'd that you'd find a good price and I bet its cost falls anyways over the next few months - that's what's happening to all the DAB radios.
