If anyone knows Bill Bailey from Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Black Book amongst others you wouldnt be surprised to learn his favourite band are Kraftwerk.
Here he does his own tribute.
I dare you not to laugh!

I knew him first as part of the extremely funny Rubber Bishops! Never been as funny since.
I saw the Rubber Bishops years back. It was the end of season gig at our local comedy cliub. Frank Skinner compered (the year he won the Perrier in Edinburgh) Local boy Lee Evans was on the bill as well. Best comedy night I have ever had.
Bill Bailey is probably the most consistent and rewarding comedian I've seen in the last few years. I quite like Simon Munnery too...
I've seen that on DVD at a hifi and home cinema show in bristol and tried to get it but couldnt find it. I need to have another look. lol

he is good but i wouldn't go that far!!! smile
i saw Mark Thomas proform llast week..... he was bloody brilliant if you don't mind me saying....
bring back the "comedy project"
As Bill Bailey would say, ''Christ SymonOuna, thats one hell of a pile you've got there on your atavar'' lol
Wasn't he the shop owner in Spaced?
I love Bill Bailey, but only know him from his recent(ish) stand-up DVDs. Anyone that can be that musically gifted and be that funny is a genius in my book.
cool
Bill Bailey was indeed the shop owner in Spaced. Before that he had his own show on BBC 2, "Is It Bill Bailey?" (Which had Simon Pegg in it). The BBC have never repeated it and I assume they did not consider it a success - I bet they'd like a show of his *now*!
And re sitcoms, Bailey was in Black Books, of course.
Come to think of it, Simon Munnery also had a TV show that lasted one series and was never repeated (Attention Scum). And Dr. Terrible's House of Horrible and Darkplace only made one series each too. My own taste, I think, is for this kind of clever-clever comedy rather than the cringemaking observational variety - there's enough embarrassment in my life without watching other people's!

Watched it twice through and still laughing!! Thank you.
Jezzay.
Well funny lol
Who was it that said in another thread that he looked like a human klingon
sorry i didn't laugh confused
but the it is just gone and i have just got home from a 10 hour nights shift lol
Actually I wasn't that impressed, OK but not collapsing or pmsl. Although there's some other stuff of his on their I did enjoy, like the Geoffrey Chaucer thing for a start.
got 2 of his DVDs ..they r so funny
I saw him at the Edinburgh fringe this year and have to say I was a tiny bit disappointed.
He was very funny, but, in the same way Billy Connolly gradually phased out the music and funny songs in favour of a purely stand up act, Bill Bailey is, I fear, going the same route.
The CD I have in the car from a couple of years ago seems funnier than the live show I saw recently. Still my second favourite comedian.
Big Yin rules.
