Hi Happy People!!
Well, and I mean this most sincerely, I didn't know I was missed - I'm delighted to be back.
I have been popping in to see who's about but have to be a bit careful in case my (female) assistant questions my frantic internet typing. However, I bumped into Sappho in the chatroom on Friday who persuaded me to come back onto the forums.
So here I am.... What topics need a bit of a stir up?? Fred, maybe you've had it a bit easy for too long... Fancy a nose dive into the poo again?? Only joking mate, I wouldn't do that to you... biggrin
Right, off to see what you've all been up to....

PS: Fred has been lurking around here today. He's bound to turn up at some point!
Indeed, welcome back!!
Always good to have another musician around. How about an SH band? Now there's a thought! :karaoke:
I wondered why I had been trouble free (relatively speaking) for the last few weeks!
Go on! Bugger off again! wink
Oh - stop snivelling - I didn't mean it - welcome back! rolleyes
Fred

Yes Wilma, I can't reach some of the damsons
How good is your aim :confused2:
Dawn :silly:
Hmm,
Hohner or Steinberg?

I believe the upgrade of choice for the discerning woman is a Kalishnikov.

I doubt if the Kalashnikov in either it's AK47, AKS, or AKM forms would be of practical assistance. All have banana shaped magazines which many women will find another use for. rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Stick to the shotgun Wilma.
Exactly, Harry0 - that's why it is the upgrade of choice. Not only do we women multi-task but we adapt, overcome and survive with the resources available. Perhaps you'd like a demonstration of how a girl handles a weapon?

Sappho xxx (who sympathises deeply)Actually, darling I think RoadKnight was referring to the bass guitar in Bassdude's avatar. Looks like a Steinberg to me - but hard to tell from here.
Will (slightly concerned with Sappho's Kalashnikov fixation - I found the rabbit much less threatening. As long as bluexxx isn't in charge of it!! )
* Note to self - remember to pack the Kevlar next time I visit Shropshire *

'Tis true. And until you get up real close, you can't tell. Hohners (effectively Steinbergs made under licence) are a lot more readily available, and jolly good too...
And as for the Kalashnikov debate... professionals use SVDs, and professional thugs use AKSU-74s...!

Very quietly and with studied calm, Sappho enquires,
This is a reference to a musical instrument and not Wilma's shotgun?
Good grief man! Do you really want to quibble with a woman with riotous hormones? mad
Will that be lilies or roses?

I had better get those lilies or roses delivered to Shropshire pronto
Will that be lilies or roses?

I was thinking about your requiem mass, darling. kiss

Sappho winkI know you were. Merely trying to redeem myself. redface
By the way, for the record, it would be lilies and either Mozart or Verdi. Nimrod would be nice at some point as well.
Now where did I put that sack-cloth and ashes. rolleyes
Is that Fred I can hear laughing? mad :x :x
Me?

Well spotted RoadKnight and Sappho....
It's a Hohner BV5 five string - don't think SteinBERGER actually do a five....
Anyway, enough muso talk, let's flirt!!

I'm in awe of someone else with knowledge!!! Yes it is a stonker of an instrument - Hmm, sounds a bit like myself!!

Whilst I am mentioning the word contagious.........
A teacher asks her class to use the word 'contagious'.
Roland, the class swot, stands up and says, "Last year I got the measles and my mum said it was very contagious."
Then Katie, a sweet little girl with pigtails, stands up and says, "My grandma says that flu is going around and it's contagious."
Finally, little Johnny jumps up and shouts, "Our next door neighbour's painting his house with a two-inch brush and my dad says it will take the contagious."
