ok is it me or is there a new chat bar appearing at the bottom of the sh pages? and can only log in in one page at a time:smile:

You should find this on your home page:
The new site messenger is now available to use as a beta test with your friends.
If you don't want to join in with the IM testing visit the Privacy Section and set the 'Messenger' Global option to 'Off'. Note, other than 'Friends' and 'Off', no other privacy settings will work as they aren't needed yet.

I found that if you have a few windows open - you get a message in the others telling you you have messenger open in another window. If by chance you have closed the original window - just click online again.

i dont like it btw i think it will leave the chatrooms deader than they already are as people will get tied up talking to friends on the chat and forget about the rooms which will then be full of nothing but single men with no one on their friends lists( no offence to single men with no one on their friends list),which will then lead to a rush by the single men(or women or couples just to remain politically correct to some degree) to randomly add anyone and everyone,...i stand to be corrected but time will tell wink

You can chat to only one person in the one chat box - but can open other message boxes to chat to other friends.

One of the guys in the office who has been working on it uses a mac, unless its a really old crap one or you are running some way out west operating system it should work ok as his is fine. Log out and log back in and then try it again. Failing that pop a ticket into support and we will take a look.

I use FF - try clearing your browser history and cookies (log out first). I had to do that a few times to begin with before it worked for me.

apologies i am obviously being thick, but i cant see an information box on my home page and my privacy says messenger is off, but the bar is still there
