When I was 21 I had a 30" waist and weighed in at 10 stone 4 pounds. All the numbers have gone up since then, now I've a 36" waist and weigh 13 stone 2 pounds. I think I have a realistic fighting weight of 11 stone, OK I settle for 11.5 and a comfortable 34" waist line. I reckon it'll take me three months so I'll be ready for the sunshine.
I went to get a belt from the wardrobe and it won't go round anymore. Reluctant to go and invest in a whole new set of clothes with jackets to fit my tits in and 36" waist to fit my belly in its time for ACTION. So as a temporary fix I bought three pairs of trousers from Tesco for £17, £10 and Jeans at £4, (really).
SO STARTING JANUARY 3rd, who's going to join the SH diet group? (Got to leave enough time to polish off the Christmas Fare, and 3rd or 4th is probably back to work day for most of us).
So as not to muddy the site I thought we could all pm someone, (I volunteer but anyone), every Monday morning with our scale weight, and we set our own targets and admit to our current grossness. Whoever gets the pm's can post a single mail each week with a progress report.
All suggestions welcome, come forward, make your admissions and give your suggestions. Are you brave enough?
My diet? Well I've done this before so I know it works for me. I'm going to eat a proper lunch, (which I don't now), and cut out cakes, biscuits, booze and seconds. That should be enough. Oh, and walk a bit more. (I drank booze and ate pudding at parties during my last diet, an occasional rare binge seems to make no difference provided it's a one-off).
Count me in, already started to take more exercise and I do eat healthy - I just need reminded to eat more often if the truth was known
Me too.
When I married I was 7st. Had a 20" waist. I was 23.
Now, I am nearly 35, 10st 11lbs and would not dream of measuring my waist, let alone telling anyone what it measured.
4 weeks ago, I was 11st 7lbs, so I am getting there. Am told my goal weight should be 7.5 st but am aiming at 9.5, meself.
Sounds like a fantastic idea...where do I sign up?????
Mike
I've been trying to lose weight for ages. I tried the healthy eating thing and it made no difference. I fear that the only thing that will work now is the e word. The e word!!!!!!!
<shudder>
I need to shed a few stone as well!!!
If i do the 'E' word that means i wont have anytime to come on the net!!
Former Boxer/martial artist who until 5 years ago weighed in at 10st and a 28in waist.
Started body building
Now stand at 14st 46in chest and 35in waist.
Would like the waist down a couple of inches and the soft parts of the chest to harden again.
So yes I'll sign up for this slim in.
I'll wait to make a sensible reply about organising this thing until tomorrow, when everyone's had a chance to pick up on it. I'm sure it will help me to know I'm going to have to be honest with my peers.
Questions:
Does everyone agree it should have a fixed termination date? If so what, 3 months?
Should we take before and after pictures?
Should we have an end of term meet?
It is a fairly recent photo, I was a 32" waist 3 years ago, 36" 2 years ago and hovering about a 34" again now. My belly sticks out too far is all really, oh, that and I'm starting to grow man boobs again!
