I am just about to go on a late shift, noticed loads of people on here, was wondering what people do, do people log on at work, or are all the benefit scroungers sex maniacs?
usually log on at work just to see what's happening, but today I've got an exam in 3 hours and 50 mins. :eeek: :uhoh:
I only work part time and the rest of the time i'm on here or having sex!
People do work shifts so they are available at all times of the day.
I work flexi, kindof. I mean as long as I make good progress on my project, I can turn up whenever I like.
Some of us are 'housewives' lol (although I don't particularly like that term) Looing after house and kids can be a full time job...
btw.. I used to be on benefits.. and I certainly wouldn't have classed myself as a 'scrounger'.. everyones circumstances are very different!!!
Off sick, anyone shift this cloud of my head and I'll willingly go into work.
Working too, look when wrk is boring, at the moment thats all day.
Its great !!!! although bloody boring at times.
Thats where diplomacy comes in
I'm at work and hard at it too....................
Cafettiere of coffee, chocolate cake, feet up and radio on - All I need now is some customers lol
Seriously though it isn't always quiet and I worked somewhere in the region of 49 hours last week with 3 days off
yep and some of us are on a holiday from work, so go off on your late shift and have fun myself i'm off down the pub in a while , ah it's a hard life
Also off sick (just incase anyone hadn't noticed). Also work part time. Also work weekends so have day off in the week. When I am working, that is.
Flavio 12000,surely you've noticed that the 9-5 Monday-Friday thing is a tad old hat for a lot of us is a quick peek at the Forum for me before I scoot off to do an 8 hour shift.I was here so much yesterday because I had a rare day off that wasn't full of STUFF to older I get the busier I seem to be,I'm sure many will be familiar with that feeling!
So here are the results so far...
Quick view at work: 5
Part time worker: 1
Houseperson: 2
Shifts / Flextime: 5
Sick: 3
Holiday: 2
Scroungers: 0
Thats it go off to work and leave everyone else to justify themselves!
Its either a good wind up or he is just excited to have a job at last.
Never had any state benefits in my life.
But
I'm a pensioner - but before you all switch me off - I was in a motorbike accident while on duty and I was offered my pension early. I retired at the age of 41. I am fully recovered and I don't regret one minute of my freedom.
A free life is truly wonderful.
Major Tom
After several years of being 'home-maker' to ungrateful 'bread-winner', I chose to go on benefits to be a Full Time Mother. While that may be seen as 'scrounging', just remember all the quality time I've spent with my child when in 20 years time she comes up with a cure for cancer or world peace, or maybe even a new snazzy logo for Asda...
... Anyway! I'm now a full time student. My profile says "Professional Tax Dodger" 'cos I know how so many under-educated people hate students  but also, remember that one day, all this money I've 'scrounged' I WILL be paying back AND with my posh degree (First with Honours, obviously!) there's a great possibilty I will be in a higher tax bracket than you, so will be paying a helluva lot more out for the same services.
Nowwho's the scrounger? Eh? Eh?
*** end of rant ***
BTW, I'm off sick today.
