Don't worry, i'm not asking for numbers or anything biggrin

This sort of started with a recent discussion with vanilla mates and the question came up. My immediate thought was 'how do you define a sexual partner?'
Is it a snog, a grope, a bit of oral dunno

or does it have to be penetrative sex (and if so how would you define it for a lesbian)
I'm still not entirely sure what i think myself, rather interested to hear your thoughts on the subject

I don't think it has to be penetrative sex, or soft swingers wouldn't have slept with anyone, would they?
I think oral would definitely count though. I wouldn't count a grope or a snog as sex/sleeping with someone/ being a sexual partner.

Hmm..the way I would define a "sexual partner" is someone I had made love to/had sex with/ fucked. There are different meanings attached to the way we have sex and the people we have sex with, but for me, I think a sexual partner is basically someone I have been intimate with. Intimate with ladies meaning oral at least and with men then penetrative sex.
I don't feel I need to have penetrative sex with a woman to consider it intimate, yet I consider only having oral sex with men as less intimate-so i would be unlikely to say a bloke I had had oral with was a sexual partner, but a woman I would.

I would count any form of sexual activity that is beyond simply kissing/groping, so I guess full penatrative sex including penis/fisting/fingers, fucking with toys, oral etc.
Well my counts just gone up with that definition! lol

I think a sexual partner is anyone you share intimacy with, kissing, stroking, groping, touching, oral and the rest.. I think anyway lol

It's very hard to define. I just know who I've considered somebody who I've had sex with and those I've had a bit of fun with. I don't think it's always about the amount of actual contact (or is it?) with somebody. Oh I know what I'm trying to say, sorry you don't. lol

have been thinking about this between hi-jacking the thread and posting elsewhere.
I suppose since I have started havig sex cos I want to. (that sounds more complicated that it is- I mean non-vanilla, once a week on a wednesday with a full moon in Sagittarius etc) anyhoo.. since I became a "swinger" (or whore if you ask my ex :giggle smile

the only split I make is those I would have sex with and those I wouldn't..... there are some people who I have thought I would want to have sex with... then I realise that I don't. There are some people who I think I might like to and I do.....and it is great. And there are some people who I know that I want to have sex with and there are no surprises just lots of pleasure.
The thing that links all of the people is that I have frenchkissed them,....... so if I had to break it down... then I would say that for me it becomes sexual once I have had their tongue in my mouth... but that is only for the purposes of this question. :shock:
so if you see me with someones tongue in my mouth at a munch, it doesn't neccessarily mean I am going to have sex with them (there is a first time for everything as I am discovering)
