I've been here for some years, but for some reason apart from neglecting the forum I have also neglected to ever look in the gallery. I decided to have a scan today to see if I could find my original profile (I couldn't) but was quite surprised at how many women have face pics on their profile (There are some beautiful women on here by the way).
This got me thinking. I know I don't have face pics on here because I would hate for someone to feed back to my son or for a potential employer to discover me.
Do you have your face pic up or not? What brought you to the decision that you made and have you ever had any regrets or incidents where you have been discovered? What happened?
I choose not to have face pics in my public profile. I do however have some in my private gallery.
It is purely a discretion thing. I also understand when others don't have face pics on show.

I have face pics in my private gallery as well. I wouldn't dream of meeting someone without having seen what they look like first, so understand it is important. I used to direct people to fp, but they have made it so you have to register now and can only do that if you are invited, so spoilt that little number.
I've had someone recognise me from my boobs!!! Over a year after meeting and only once at that. I've also been recognised by a vanilla friend who thought it would be hilarious to wind me up over it. It back fired a bit as I just called him a perv for going on and just looking at the pics lol.
Oh and once at a big reunion type party I had a few friends giving me heavy looks and telling me that I am better than this lol. It did make me chuckle.
No, no way can I do face pics openly on the something can be sorted out but in public on here no due to my work and possible bad reaction of certain family members.
We don't have face pics due to the need for discretion. Sadly this activity is viewed negatively and judged by so many people and I really wouldn't fancy being in the news of the world.
Respect people that do feel able to publish pics.
I have no poblem with putting a face picture on our profile, because if you are seen by anyone else they are doing excatly the same thing as you!
I have been recognised by someone as part of my daily routine and they have messaged me on here but everything has been very discreet....
why would anyone be blabbing to your children, family etc they would have to disclose how they know you are here...

I have face pics in my private gallery, if I want people to see them, then I send invites.
I have face pics. I can't imagine any situation where I would feel threatened by exposure.
My son is an adult. My partner is on here and my work can stuff themselves if they think they get to judge my non-work activities. (Luckilly I don't work with the public or anything.) I'm a 'publish and be damned person'. But I fully appreciate that other people are in a very different position.
I can empathise with Venus68 completely. I’ve only been on the site for a week and I’m amazed (and thrilled) at the number of ladies that have face shots on their profile, (especially as so many of them are very attractive).
I’d find it hard to do the same as it would kill my career and cause me no end of problems with my relatives. I know its newbie paranoia, but I’m even dubious about putting up long distance/body shots, in case someone recognises me from these or the décor of my home!!!
Is it essential to show face shots to arrange meets?
By the way venus, from what you do shot on your profile, you look fantastic ; - )
We have face pic in our private gallery but wouldnt want all and sundry to be able to see as i own and run my own business and wouldn't want my private activities to harm my business in any way so this is the only reason they are sent only to people we would be looking to meet.
Not really concerned about people judging our interests but definately don't want it to afrect my business in any way.

i have face pics and i dont care who see's them. if someone from work found me on here they couldnt do anything about it without revealing themself, and if they thought being on here was something so bad as to fire to me over then they sure as hell wouldnt want to risk being exposed themselves!
if i found a girlfriend i would probably take the pics down, or make them private at least. just out of respect or if someone recognised me out in town.
I asked did they know me... they said no... but told me 3 days later i was correct in my suspicions
