lol  I thought everybody knew that already
I meant - I'll do them if asked by friends rather than going to a shop where its all impersonal & overcharged wink Florists charge sooo much money for the obligatory things like coffin sprays when usually folk have got enough on trying to sort out the funeral costs etc, so, its my way of doing my bit to help a mate when they need it, as daft as its sounds , and if its a friend or someone close to me who has died,( and there's been a fair few) doing the arrangements is my way of channelling grief dunno
but anyway - back to favorite flowers

Do you think it's something to do with scary birds Dark?
I do the same thing! Started when my neighbour died & I thought " how hard can it be?" Never having done anything like that before I was surprised when my flowers were so much nicer than some made by another neighbour- a qualified florist. I've done a couple more since, very recently doing a coffin top for Mr W's dad.
Youre right about one thing- it is very cathartic.
I did a bunch of dried flower arrangements for our wedding, they were pretty cool and even better, I got to give them away at the end of the day as everlasting gifts.
My favourite, hard to choose, but I think yellow roses, romantic but happy and smiley at the same time.
But to be honest, a bunch of sweet peas is enough to get a grin on my face. I just love flowers. :rose:
....oh and harrysin has insisted I put in a vote for the white dog rose....given I'm a yorkshire transplant!
Thank you everyone for a cheery thread.
you to kittysin, have you been transplanted in or out of Yorkshire.
