Used to have this when the site was revamped by the new owners and they gave us (or I first noticed 
) the fact that you could block pm's from people.
Ok I will admit i blocked those sending winks :shock:
Can't remember if there is a post about it somewhere but it's someone on your blocked list trying to contact you.
I had to unblock, delete the mail then reblock.
The flashing goes away then.

Yep, its happened to us a few times before but hasn't happened for a while now. Dunno why it happens but once the page gets refreshed a few times, it goes. Maybe it's some delay in u getting new mail and the new mail thing coming up?

No, it doesn't work like that on this forum. The mail still gets sent even if you delete it from your sent box.

Try clearing the cache that will usually sort it out, when you go perving at all those profiles you end up with a lot in the temp file, even more if you use the chatrooms.
