I hear Chillingham Castle is the most haunted house/castle in Britain and you can go and stay there to see for yourself, now I'm not sure i believe in ghosts although I would love to, has anyone seen a ghost or had any kind of encounter that cannot be explained.............
the underground vaults in edinburgh are supposed to be pretty good
i've seen things i could convince myself were ghosts but at the moment due to being a scaredy cat i'm preffering to convince myself they weren't redface

Children's toy move around in one room. in a room close by is a large ventilation fan. I do not think it is a ghostly child playing with them.
I have had lots of spooky experiences ... too many to mention ... especially following the death of my brother 20 years ago.
The last one though was about 3 years ago when I woke in the middle of the night to see a black woman in tribal dress sitting on my bedroom floor smiling at me!!!
OK you could say that I was half asleep and may have been dreaming .... but the spooky thing is that a few days later a friend of mine who is a medium (I didnt know this at the time) told me all about it!!! She said I am very open to the spirit world but just dont know how to listen to them yet .....
Not sure if I want to!!!
Mr Fun is a total sceptic, his belief goes as far as ... you die, you go in the ground and are eaten by worms!!!
I had a few monks wander through my bedroom once.

I'm with Mr. Fun
I'd be more likely to believe if I heard tales of "women in jeans & t-shirts" or "a bloke in a shell suit."
Why are ghosts always dressed in an extraordinary, evocative manner?

Yes and why waste eternity by making noises, moaning, dropping plates or making chairs rock about a bit? To me that is little different to being struck down with dementia. Why not let us know something a bit more useful? Next weeks lottery numbers? (Even Derren Brown managed that) Or something useful such as the way to heaven, or hell for those of us who think it'd be more interesting?
Why do aliens all seem desperate to abduct us and tell us their plans for a superrace of alien-human hybrids, or that we have to be careful not to screw up the planet or else and not give us the details on a quick answer for Fermat's Last Theorem? Or how faster than light travel is possible to make travel in space possible? Or even why Vulcans have pointy ears?
It's almost as if these super-enlightened beings can't tell us any more than what we already know, which is preposterous of course. Next you'll be telling me Jesus was an ordinary bloke... ;-)
Never had a problem with the dead, on the other hand, the living have given me some trouble over the years lol
We had a ghost in our previous house. We found out who it was too and after that it never bothered us. It was the man of the house that had lived there for years with his wife. He had died in the bathroom and one morning hubby got up for work and went downstairs to the bathroom and it was locked from the inside surprised
We knew he was around as at the bottom of the stairs was a chill and nowhere else in the house.
Have had lots of things happen over the years, and had a visitation this morning, I tend to get "visits" on anniversaries. It's my mums birthday today, and already had a couple of things happen, and expect more as the day goes on!
