I remember helping a mate fix his car in his garage, which was beside a forest. While we were fixing the car a HUGE spider ran 3 inches past my nose while I was under the car.
Not a good moment.
I got out from under the car PDQ
It ran into a corner and stopped, turned around and watched me.
The nearest thing I had to hand was a haynes workshop manual.
I thew it at the spider ...........WHACK!!!!
GOT IT!!!! I yelled.
Then (I kid you not) the bloody manual MOVED.
It twitched a few times, then the bloody spider crawled out minus 2 legs, but STILL ALIVE.
I grabbed the blowtorch and toasted the fecker.
I still have nightmares about that.
Not a good moment.

I dont mind spiders much... I seem to only be scared of them when I'm with someone throwing a dickyfit.
When i had a cat it used to tease the buggers for hours, then when they were finally knackerd and broken it would eat them and make the most horrible crunching noise as it did so... finally the cat would look smug and satisfied, lick its lips, then the blody cat would expect me to cuddle it while it tried to lick my face :shock:
The only two creatures that give me the heebegeebies are daddy(jennie) long legs and stag bettles... just visualise a 9 year old kid whos teasing a stag bettle untill it gets so pissed of it clamps on to his finger, quickly followed by little 9 year old running arround screaming and shakeing hand rappidly, the little B*****ds hold on blody tightly :cry: :cry:
