I used to look a bit "butch" but I have now started growing my hair and can do allsorts with it now.. im with helnheaven on this one!!!

I have (had?) red hair. I always wanted hair like Maid Marian - all tumbling down my back in gorgeous curls. I suffered totally unmanageable, strange hair for months and eventually got it longish. It just hung there, looked like someone had killed a few stoats and nailed them to my head. In the end I have up and had it all cut off back to the style I have now. It was also one of the hottest summers for years. It was HEAVEN to have my head back LOL. But I'll never manage long delicious curls.
If you are able to go for long hair, go for it. any good hairdresser can give you intermediate cuts that look great without taking too much length each time. biggrin:D:D

I have to say that I'm a big fan of short hair on women, bob cuts especially.
But it's hard to give my vote as I don't know what you look like. It may suit you, it may not. There's no way of telling without seeing your head/face.

I prefer girls with long hair - that's why I married someone with short hair! weird aint it? anyway, as others have said - different hair for different faces etc etc - but in answer to your question - grow it long.

I grew my hair after having it in a bob, and only the other day i had it cut again back into a bob, it does look more stylish but I find the shorter it is the more harder it is to do on a morning, at least with long hair you can tie it up.
I wish I had left mine long

Although you can do loads more with long hair, I don't see the point in keeping it if all you do is put it up out the way.
I have longish hair and I have been talking about having it cut off for a good 18 months. I've been taking it shorter and shorter so it is creeping up :thumbup:

thanks for all your advise, and i,am going for the chop today ,stan says he likes the bob look so here i go no more long hair for me short and sheek , if it goes wrong can always wear a wig lol :cheers:

as a lady with short hair (and once had very long hair) i say keep it short! But ultimatly its up to you and what the end look is that you want to achieve!
