has this im a celeb thing got you watching ??
I can't be bothered to watch it. It all seems bollocks to me. I can't see why Jordan has been illegedly paid more than others. Some say it's because she's upping the ratings.. but on the other hand, it could be the ITV producers trying to up the ratings by adding a bit of titillation ( :shock: ) to an otherwise dull show.

hi tripod, must admit that I have only seen it in passing.... just like all other such progs,
but clearly some people unexpected sides always seem to come out on these thing.... intersting little seems to have been mentioned about Ruddock ( hard man)
I would think Jordan may win unless she alienates the female vote..

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that this must be one of the worst programmes on TV. Full of 'Celebrities' I think not. A bunch of has beens, wannabee's and never were's. Not unlike the pundits commenting on a football match during half time or full time. OK some team lost and another won. End of story, all the if's but's and what the 'Ref' missed is irrelevant.
Personally I'd rather watch paint dry than watch 'celeb's' or footy.
I do watch Rugby and F1 racing at least in these sports the participants are not a bunch of nancy's whinging about having to 'work' more than twice a week.

No rant from me.... it is such an artficial siuation, and for what purpose.... there are far more important things in this world... ( me with serious head on... well it is Sunday)
But some peeps ( 11 million apparently) enjoy.... that is not to say 49 million don't so TV studios will make the shows and minor celebs will do it for the many thousands that they are getting paid... who wouldhave thought Jennie Bond Royal correspondent?

Very rarely watch the box anymore. Too busy, and most of it's crap. Realised that when we had a power cut near the end of a prog I was watching a couple of years ago, and I didn't care. I feel the same about most programmes. Occasionally there's a good flick on, but really can't be bothered.
As for "Reality TV"... :sleeping:
The only one that I enjoyed at all was Castaway.

I don't mind most of the (so-called) celebs so far, although Lord Brocket's fake jollity has the same effect on me as a knife scraping a plate. But I find Ant and Dec intensely irritating. Few things on TV are more annoying that comedians who keep laughing at their own (desperately unfunny) jokes.

Big brother wasn't so bad... The good thing about it is that cos it's on for so long you're able to get hooked! I'm sure that the celebs on Get Me Outta Here would be far too busy to take 12 (?) weeks time out. They're far too busy with being a celeb.

When I was growing up in Australia, the best shows on TV were British. Then I come over here and... what happened? If it was Neighbours that taught you that awful TV could be highly successful, then you have my fullest apologies.

Ye gods and little fisherman, I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick. I despair of the 11 million(?) who watch it-and I'm not snobbish or high minded. same applies to Big Brother, Little Brother and all the other Brothers: there hasn't been a decent set of brothers on T.V since 'Bonanza' and the Cartwrights. However, each to his own, and I don't normally get drawn into these debates. However, what I fail to understand, is how some excellent programmes-and in the opinion of critics, experts, people whose opinion I value, not merely mine-get shunted away to the midnight slot, or at least very late, especially if they are among some ofthe excellent American imports e.g NYPD, Northern Exposure, Seinfeld, etc
I went for 5 years without a TV, feeling it would improve my mind. I eventually realised that the only way to improve my mind was with a blunt instrument and that some challenges are a challenge too far. However, I now find that the judicious use of the Radio Times-there are other listings magazines available folks-enables me to sort the wheat from the chaff, or rather to get the children to set the video, and the overall result is one that sees me valuing what TV can offer. I recall very vividly, after going without for five years-an experience I repeat in many aspects of my life-that 'dramas', in particular, seemed terribly trite, formulaic and , well, crap. I must admit , I find the Net a lot more stimulating-and not just this site. I was discussing with a very erudite and valued friend, only this afternoon, that very thought.
anyway, better go now -might be something on the telly...

'Fraid this Dude does watch it, against my better nature!! This is the first series I've watched, honest.... Why.....?? The obvious..... NO! Simply to see John Lydon in the jungle.
As a guy who grew up with Mr Lydon's sense of irreverence, I thought this would be entertaining. It is!!
As for Kerry, Yes, a boring twat...
Jordan? Surprising really. Her assets actually look better (slightly) covered than in the tabloids and she's got the (eh hem) merest signs of a personality!! One thing, anyone noticed she's got a tiny head and skinny legs??
