can someone please help...
I've been trying to liven up my ad with some photos...but they're too big...the photos that is.
Can someone tell me how I can 'reduce' them so that I can post them onto my ad....sorry its such a boring question
confused :? :? :?
You'll need a graphics editing program of some sort. You can reduce the size in pixels, or save it as a different format. JPG would be a good choice, and there should be an option for changing the quality.
Or you could send it to one of a seemingly infinite number of volunteers who would be happy to do it for you.
The FAQ page needs a section on reducing picture size.
Clare you have a pm if I can help in any way......
Dawn :silly:
Boy o boy!
Got a sweat on when I saw the title of this thread.... redface surprisedops:

Gman,
This was a personal thing to do with a dare!
trust me - I had a sweat on!
Fred
Every time I offer to help the girlies I get more in the mire!
So let Dawn help her for now - Dawn owes me a favour anyway and we need her in the GFZ on Wednesday to help Kat!

Hello Clare wave
If you want my advice (.....and I have no idea why you would dunno), take Dawn up on her offer. It is probably safer to let one of the girlies edit the pic for you.
Failing that, I do know that Fred is entirely trustworthy.
Bloody hell!!! :eeek: Did I say that last sentence out loud?
Sorry - I'll have to go and have another lie down now. redface I need to conserve my energy for the Burns Night thrash tonight!
Will - Burn's Night was two days ago... typical English folk celebrating a national event late. Imagine if we all celebrated Christmas, or Halloween or (god forbid) Hogmanay two days late - no real need for calendars anymore. There'd be an uprising in calendar factories all over.
On another note - has NO-ONE noticed that the thread name is 'damson' in distress?? I can't figure out how a plum is distressed, unless in danger of being made into jam. Is it me????
lol

Jags, I know Burns Night is January 25th. It's just that my father meets with a (large) group of friends on the fourth Tuesday of most months. The January meeting is always close enough to Burns Night to provide an excuse! I (and several dozen others) tag along as 'guests'. We may be English, and probably slightly loopy, but we will be there in numbers (about 80, I think :shocksmile, complete with piper to celebrate the bard.
After all, us bards must stick together! lol
By the way - please be gentle with me tomorrow morning. I shall be somewhat fatigued and in need of medication (Sappho, are you there?).
Will
Thinks : How on earth can Burns Night be a NATIONAL event? Burns wasn't English was he? dunno
Worry not, Will, I will be around with my own personal hangover cure. I may not be sympathetic, but I will be gentle. wink

Are you suggesting that Scotland isn't a nation Will?????? mad :x Just as St George's Day is a national event for England (but WTF celebrates that one?) then Burn's Day is a national event for Scotland, and one celebrated internationally too.
I think you are just fishing for a Jags special SLAP - I know how you love them so - just a little flush to the cheeks????

I DID Jags - hence the reason I got a sweat on! confused
I'll come clean - someone dared me to pick Damsons in the garden naked and in daylight! I had to take pics to prove it and Dawn knows I completed the dare! redface surprisedops:
And before you ask - NOPE - not gonna prove it to any of you!
Oh - and Dawn marks her territory wherever she goes - so if she visits you and the neighbour says his alloys are corroding - you know who it was! rolleyes
Will - you need to lay down - been fighting a lot lately? The man is punch drunk! - Trustworthy - me?
Clare, if not already sorted email the pics to me at and I'll do them for you. xxxxxx

Fred -I SO WANT those pictures.. I'd pay money if it wasn't banned on SH, so I think you should offer them as freebies for mods!!! Mmmmmmmm
Will - you are a bad man (cue Dick Emery)...but I like you!
Rocky - nope, no haggis, tattie or neeps - hate the stuff. Just had plenty of the old water of life, rather too much if I recall.
Bass - think Fred saw the error but went cryptic on us all - see above.
AND NOT A SNOG FROM ANYONE....damnit.
