How important is swinging to you?

Just wondering how important swinging is to you?
Could you just stop and never look back, would you miss it?
Also, if your single... would any future partner you get have to be either a swinger or be happy for just yourself to swing?
For us, its became quite a fun part of our lifes, we could give it up but it would be missed to quite a high degree.
We are very happy with each other sexually but the bit of extra fun you get with swinging makes us even more horny.. and normally after we have played with someone we have quite a long passionate night when were on our own again.
If i was to be single now and meet a new partner then i could go without the swinging but i would try my hardest to convince him otherwise first :twisted: lol

Not that me and Tony would brake up... hopefully!
So come on guys, whats your thoughts on this?

as someone that hasn't "swung" (3/moresomes) since last September :shock:
I think if I left the lifestyle completely, I'd probably miss the social aspect of it more than the physical sex.
When I was swinging as a swingle, I actually used to avoid vanilla dating/shagging, so I suppose if I were to be single again, I would do the same again and only enter into a "relationship" with another swinger.

I've enjoyed my time here and hope to carry on for some time yet ( hard luck Meaty :twisted: ) though I'm not sure what would happen if I met a guy who wasn't into it. I've met with a couple of lovely ladies from the site and a couple of guys, one of whom has become my regular intimate friend.
Apart from seeing my friend a couple of times a week, I'm not a 'hardened' swinger so to speak. I like the company and community of the forums and plan to make more meets though probably on a social basis only as far as guys go. That said, my bi side will always be there and if I meet a non-swinging guy who doesn't mind that side of me, then all the better wink

I spent 2 or 3 hours last night in the chatroom howling with laughter... Ranging from all talking like the characters from Allo Allo to a bit of banter with Sarge.... That's what it's all about.... wink

Well we love the chat, sexy banter, laughs and occasional social meets and would miss all that a lot now. The fun is secondary and great but certainly not the be all and end all - a sort of very nice bonus if it happens ;)

I think I speak for both Stormy and myself (can't be arsed to walk down 3 flights of stairs to ask him :giggle: ) when I say this. Since joining SH in December our sex life has been great! blast

We have "met" some lovely people :inlove: . We have realised one of our fantasies :thrilled: and now know that it is not just a fantasy but a real desire for us both.
I think our answer would be that yes if we had to we could live without it, but would miss the site and all you lovely people :upset: . If I was ever in a position to not have Stormy with me for whatever reason, I think I could safely say that having had a life with the person I consider myself to have been made for I would stay firmly in swinging :swingingchair: circles and would'nt go down the road of looking for a permanent 1 to 1 relationship again.

i go to munches, and socials, and i really enjoy them, i get to talk to some interesting characters, have made some good friendships here, and its the people i couldnt leave behind, if i got to the point where i didnt want to be as involved, id make sure i had msn or mobile numbers, to keep in touch with some of you, cos thanks to you lot, i have learned so much since being here, about swinging, life and myself

Havent officialy started swinging yet but there are some people and definatly the banter i would miss if i wasn't a member of the site.
I may have a meet soon but probably just a get to know you first so i'll know more then on if its my thing or not or maybe. But if its not and i don't carry on membership there will now be a little somthing missing for a while.

One point to add for me and a big reason i'd miss the forum if i left is mainly the community feeling too

the way i see it, i can have mind blowing sex at home in my own bed. any other sex, though bloody good is just a bonus, it is not vital.
what is vital is the friendships i have made with some wonderful people on here. i could not do without those.

Like us most people seem to be able to give up the swinging (and miss it) but would find it harder to give up the social side.
We have met and gained some real good friends on here and wouldn't want to lose them..
Swinging you can turn on and off but a good friendship is hard to come by.
I think the peeps that come on here just to look through adds and for sex miss out on such a nice part of it all that can be far more satisfying than a quick leg over ever could.
