I'm sorry to have to say this, but I too am leaving both The Forum and The Chatroom.
The decision has been forced upon me, because I don't in all honesty want to go. It's not that I have upset anyone (I hope) but I am retiring on medical grounds.
Having been a member since just after the site started I have made many friends and had a lot of laughs along the way. To those of you who I have met, it was a great pleasure. To those I haven't, It's my loss I'm sure.
Thank you all for the pleasure of reading your posts, your humour, and comments. To pick out individuals to thank, I think would be unfair, because you all contribute in your own way.
I will no doubt sneak in for a quick peek now and then, and if I'm up to it, perhaps even put in an occasional post. But there are other more pressing things I now have to do.
So to you all, I hope you find what you want in life, if you don't, then have fun trying. I did.

Harry I've not been here long but I have enjoyed reading your posts. They've been a beacon of near sanity. I do hope that your situation is manageable as Corrie says and that you are back here with us soon.
FFS Harry, I thought the least you could have done was come to the NWMunch and repeat your headmasters role for me (cane and all).
Seriously though, Harry my OLD friend (I know you will slap me for that) I have known you now for quite some time and I can only wish you all the very best for the future.
I will never forget my first meeting with you all that time ago. I walked into the room and there before me stood the most handsome headmaster I have ever had the pleasure to come across. It is an image that will stay with me always.

Harry I can't believe it, Carpy just rang me to tell me about your post. I am so sorry to hear you're leaving, but even sorrier for the reasons.
One of the most genuine, easy going people there are, you will be sorely missed. Another one of those guys who has not a clue as to just how popular and loved he is on here.
Your posts always entertaining, full of the best advice as well as funny as ..... well as the funniest thing being funny on the funny farm!
I will have a glass of wine tonight and toast you Harry, wishing you happiness, contentment and, above all at the moment, health. Get well soon and pop in now and again even just to say hi.
