I wonder how many members are over 50 - we oldies still have feelings you know, even if they are a little faded.
Thinking about a regular Chatroom session for those with a maturer outlook, we could even reminisce about the 60s and 70s - younger people would be welcome to listen if they wished.
Any comments?
Plimboy
We still like the music from the 70's and 80's at munches!! lol

What's that he wrote? Do these screens come in Large Print?
I love older women by the way. They have a way of removing the wrinkles from a bit of me. I tend to frequent my local chat room but do look into the mature ones too but the nice sexy folk in those are too far from me.
A little faded???!!!
Only my hair.... gradually going blond.... lol
We might be over 50 but we certainly aren't past it! Up for it, yup hump
There is often a 50+ room in chat. Been there a few times.

Awwww! Did you miss me hun? Makes me feel all warm inside.
Sorry for lack of posting was just up to my eyes in work.
Age is unimportant in my book - so I don't see the need to make the distinction?
The criterion for whether I want to talk to someone is 'Are they interesting?'.

Agreed.
Oh, and 'maturer'? confused smackbottom for the OP.
It may be nice to have a place such as the 50+ chatroom to associate with others of the same generation age whatever. No matter how we can enjoy the company of peoples of different ages or interests surely in the end are we not going to have the most in common with those that are like ourselves dunno
For example though i may enjoy the chat in a room with lets say predominantly bi or gay men, in the end i'm straight so cannot maybe associate on that level. The same goes with age. I get on with both older and younger people in chatrooms or even the pub. But there is a difference.
People may say that age is just a number. I dont believe it is. the life experiences of a marked gap in age makes a difference. Whether you mind or make an issue of it is another matter, but it is there. If age is 'just' a number, then liking the 'maturer' or 'younger' man/woman wouldn't need to be stated or be a consideration.
I do however agree whole heartedly with tune's statemaent that - 'The criterion for whether I want to talk to someone is 'Are they interesting?' Though maybe it could at times be the age difference that makes it interesting
