My clean or your clean !!

I keep the toilets clean using bleach and a brush....this is the ONLY place that any form of discinfectant gets used.

I use wooden chopping boards in the kitchen and try to keep fresh meat and cooked meat and all that seperate doesn`t always work !! But I do scrub them on a regular basis.
I very occasionally wash the tiled floors.

Sounds fine to me. biggrin

I have carpet and a Vax so they get washed occasionally - mostly if I get fed up of the marks.
I just wish I followed myself around tiding up after myself but I don't. So my house gets cleaned up in fits and starts.

I'm a slut... as far as housework goes. I only tidy when anyone's due to call round. There's just always something better to do. lol

I used to be a clean freak but I just don't have the time these days, sad

Having dogs seems to create more mess and flipping fur! gawd I'm sick to death of the stuff (that's just from Jay haha)..
I love having a cleaning 'day' I do everything from top to bottom, the smell in the house is fantastic, then everyone comes home and the next day it's back to square 1.
My clean is general, as long as floors are hoovered and tiles are paw print and doggy hair free, i'm happy.

I bleach the toilet daily!
Hoover daily!
Change beds daily!
Clean my windows weekly!
Disinfect my kitchen hourly!
Polish Daily!
And if you believe that you must be mad! loon

My house is a home!
I do a top to toe cleaning and polish once a week!
But I do have a thing with kitchen sideboards and toilets they get cleaned daily!

I think there's a big difference between clean and messy. My house might be untidy at times but it's always clean in the sense that you're not going to get food poisoning or pick up anything nasty!

I like my house clean & tidy. Everything in its place now my daughters growing up. The only thing that drives me mad is ironing :shock: I iron what I need, when I need it.

My house is my home. I have a son who brings his friends over all the time. It gets messy ( especially right now with the DIY going on rolleyes

) but it's not dirty. My surfaces are clean, my bathroom is spotless, my beds are changed regularly and I try to get rid of all the cobwebs before I have guests rotflmao

I work a lot in other people's homes and some are so anally retentive about housework I'm afraid to sit down in case I crease the cushions! :shock: but then I've visited places that even Kim & Aggie would run screaming from :scared:

A few years ago my daughter went to a friends house and her friends mum was ironing.
My daughter had never seen anybody ironing before !! lol

i hoover twice a day (due to excessive amounts of dog hair) mop once a week (all laminate)
the dishwasher hides the dirty dishes and that goes on once every day or 2 days depending on how many i have cooked for etc, tops are washed down with disinfectant every time kitchen is used
the bathroom is giving a thourough clean once a week and rinced after showers/baths
i never iron
im not the tidyiest of people but my house is clean

I am so with you on this one mar. I got 3 dogs and my kitchen floor needs to be washed at least 3x a bloody day. I only have a lawn out the back so you can imagine the paw prints when it been raining. To go with this I have 4 kids so my house is never tidy, but it is clean. I also am running out of space. Me and Mick had to convert opur dining room into our bedroom because my 10 yr old son got to a point where he refused to sleep in the same bedroom as his 5 and 3 yr old brothers :twisted: I try and keep my house tidy, but it is impossible. Mick always accuses me of not doing the housework when he gets in from work (bearing in mind he walks in the door half an hour after the kids get home from school - bombsite is the word then), but he is ex forces. They are so good at tidying up !!!!!

still amazes me how much hair actually comes out of one dog let alone 2 3 or 4 (i have to empty my 2l capasity hoover 3 times a week and its almost all dog hair. Are short haired dogs any better? and why does it float yes floats around i find it on top of door frames, in cupboards and everywhere mad

am quite lucky with paw prints though she has her own little corridor with radiator where she is left until she dries of so rest of the floors remain pretty paw print free
considering that i wouldnt be without the hairball

Like many of you, I clean the bathroom and kitchen every day. I hoover when the carpets look like they need it (hooray for speckled Berber carpets!) - probably works out 2 or 3 times a week. My house is pretty untidy a lot of the time but that's down to the fact I've gsthered so much crap in the 2 1/2 years I've been here ... more than my meagre storage space can cope with.
Every so often I have a life laundry and take sackloads of stuff to the charity shops but it never seems to make a dent in the clutter! I really need to take a more minimalist attitude!
