Why is it that when I have a day out planned the weather puts the skids on it... and I haven't got a raincoat!! Not an interesting post this time sorry.. just frustrated at getting wet again.
Don't think I will be doing much walking today - any ideas for "nice" places to visit while I'm in London? Going to Soho, but not sure where else ...
Have a good day everyone who reads this!!
:hunk:

The galleries are always a good way to while away an hour or two, Cork street has some great smaller galleries. There's Tate modern on the embankment close to the Saatchi (but you have to pay to get in to that one).
I'm off to sit in a field with a bunch of hippies for a week in the rain, oh what joy - foolish of me to think a festival at this time of year would have anything other than rain.
Have a great day.
H.x
I'd also suggest doing the galleries along with the museums. I don't think you can beat them they are world class places in the best city in the world bar none. I would also break for lunch by grabbing a really nice baguette or the like and going on one of those sight seeing buses for an hour  Just so much to see.
Oh. you will have such a great time. A mate and I once spent a day almost totally underground on the 'tube' I loved that. We got lost on it and ended up at the wrong place. Enjoyed it so much we just messed about on there all day.
Oh, a trip with the kids there this summer hols on a Sunday is beckoning.
Blimey I see that the flat that we were brought up in as kids in W1 is now worth £600,000  thats absurd. Too think our Mom did everything to escape the place smile

Hi all, sorry I didn't post last night, got in late and was shattered... blumin traffic delayed us getting home.
Well, we ended up window shopping in Oxford Street, then went for a meal at ekachai oriental dining room on Sedley Place, (yummy!) then went to Soho. It was really manic trying to get to Soho - too many tourists - then had a G&T in a pub on the way back to the coach. Was a lovely day... but because of the rain everyone was using their cars.. took nearly two and a half hours to get back to Oxford- should be half that! Oh well.
Still had a great time... !
Hope everyone had a good day xx
surprised

Tell me about it!!!!! Going into town to have my nose pierced tomorrow.. if I'm not online by four send a search party...... biggrin
I'm surprised that any female in London doesn't have a built in radar to direct them to Oxford Road and just in case they are escorted by a downtrodden male who isn't impressed with shopping in London, Tottenham Court Road is just round the corner for all the electronics one could wish, and there's always the dirty great Apple store in the middle of Oxford Street to act as a diversion from all the clothes shops.
Funny you should say that... we usually go there most weeks to drool at the Mac Airbook... fancied a change! I am one of those strange women that doesn't actually like shopping... we usually hit the electronics section in Selfridges then Apple, then food! The only clothes (if you can call them that) I like are found in places like Simply Pleasure or Anne Summers.. and I don't usually have to DRAG my other half in there biggrin

Ah, in that case you've most probably seen my drool stains on one of the Macbook Pros or the Mac Pro with all the music setup in the corner (if you can get close to the buggers whilst some freeloader is using them to get their email or surf the net rolleyes ).
Nice little Nero coffee house a few doors up too.
But it's definitely nice to see a woman with her priorities in the right place heheheh.
Now if only Ann Summers also stocked Macs and HiFi I would be a truly happy chappy. lol
I think my other half would be in heaven too... he would be SO torn at what to look at!!!! He he you've made me giggle!!!!
He actually asked me to try "outfits" on yesterday.... (in Simply Pleasure... nearly bought a nurses outfit hehe)
