I have thought many a time to leave! sad

But the buggers on here keep putting super glue on me bum! smile

I have a great inserpercomplex!....what ever peeps say nice things about me!..................it all down to me child hood!........and believe me by being on here!.....you will never no in million years!.....how it helps! OK

There are such great peeps on here!......that help what ever prob you have!

We've thought of leaving several times, especially during periods when we havent been getting on well as a couple, however, we've never got there yet! TBH, i do feel that this site doesnt have the personal feel it used to, which is why we havent been on here every minute of every day like we used to. although we have no plans to disappear AS YET.. we do think the time is nearing... and seeing all these other regulars going is just pushing us further towards that exit door............... we're not looking for a "please dont go" reply thing by the way, just expressing an opinion!

I have doubled the guards on the Site exits and all leave has been cancelled !! I have now declared a state of emergency which means everyone must move around the site in pairs so there is less chance of anyone doing a runner.

It's an inevitability. There are a lot of people on this site that aren't here because it's a swinging site, they're here because it's an open minded forum of an adult nature. I think most of the people that are leaving are either singles that have decided the site is not for them or singles that since joining the site have found themselves in a relationship that isn't going to swing (or have found themselves in a failed new relationship because they met on a swinging site).
Quite a few of the established swinging couples are also talking about leaving because they're saying they can't tell the swingers from the non swingers. All food for thought but something to think about.

To be honest, I have thought that it was something to do with the Notts Munch, but not people getting offended.
I think the Munch was too successful. Lots of people got on really well, infact I think that a lot of the leavers had feelings they didn't expect either themselves or expressed by the people that they spent some time with. Swinging and related activities take a very speciic attitude, even then it's really easy to let your concentration slip and find yourself begin to fall in love or at least wonder if you could.
Anyway, that's my theory. Do with it what you will, but I don't think 'The Lincs' bash at the weekend was the cause, maybe just A catalyst.

The munch isn`t the root cause for some of the very sad posts appearing at the moment (sad as in sad

...not the Harry Enfield version)
It HAS contributed to the apparent tree shaking that is happening. It was a powerful night, the atmosphere was actually tangible from the moment we arrived and I imagine for many it has been rather similar to sitting on a some sort of rollercoaster.
Most people do tend to get off and run straight back to the queue though ...for better or worse confused

Yep, I've just had a quick chat with someone (someone else not leaving) and I do reckon that this is an imediate reaction to an emotional sting for some and that at least some, maybe most will return. We'll see.

PS To be honest, since splitting with my last girlfriend (see "Signiicant Other" thread from a couple of months ago) I planned to stay here til about the end of December, but I'm starting to feel that I won't be able to leave then.

I have to agree with Chris on that one, too:
First off, the Munch was positively brilliant, so you should be congratulating rather than questioning yourselves on that one. Vix & I were thrilled to make it our first, as you succeeded in providing a warm, comfortable and intimate atmosphere for all in attendance.
Was it too intimate? Personally, I don't think so. We were able to kindle some new friendships there as well as reinforce existing ones. Then again, if there's any modicum of jealousy or insecurity present, then I suppose such "intimacy potential" can go totally wrong, especially since a good Munch can drive home the stark reality of it all.
But you & Clare certainly can't take the blame for what others feel, and the only thing others could blame you for is throwing such a killer party and making us feel so welcome! You succeeded in that brilliantly, and anything else that may have occurred - even if the Munch served as a catalyst to bring matters to a boiling point for some - was up to the individuals involved and beyond your control.
