Do you think the police read this forum?

Yes 0%
No 0%
22 votes
Any serious thoughts?
Probably they do...maybe
Which is why I never show for shows anymore.
Them, and all the other tossers who show up.
My first response would be a resounding yes.
My second response would be - With the rise in reported crimes as a parent I would expect this site, and others like it, to be monitored.
To me, everything else is a side issue - I fully support Police using the internet to gather intelligence in this way.

I have no problems with the police reading my mails.
I would not post meet info on the site but would do that by phone.
Hopefully the police do use their computers for more than just typing.
I fully support police monitoring as long as they respect privacy if within the bounds of the lore (and yes i mean lore)
The Artificer is sure that our 'boys in blue' do peruse this site; and I haven't a problem with that. I hope they will see that most users are looking for simple, adult fun-most of it probably in our heads. If they want to hear some oddballs-then tune your walky-talkies into some of the telephone lines-(I confess, I have in the past tried them-without inhaling-but was sickened by the strange goings on). I really dont like 'family fun' and such euphemisms being lumped together with consenting adults doing what our genes-if not our village curate-would have us do. Ease off, noble constables, we are not the bad guys, we are merely innocent roses with a little too much sap.

I have no doubt they do read the Forum, and check on the Photo Adds, The Chatrooms and other site extensions.
At a guess I would estimate that at least a dozen or two have their own adds up too without a photograph of course. It wouldn't do to have the Superintendant in charge of a Police Station find one of the beat Bobbies pics in the Adds Section. lol
I wonder if there will be a drop in Men seeking Women adds in the next day or two. rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Harry0
And I will just bet that they see active intervention by the Moderators in the chat room, the ads and the Forum and think to themselves "there is a site that keeps itself clean and respectable - no need to keep a watch on them"
So why ARE they still watching us! rotflmao
One would hope not on work computers and in work time as well.
Lets face it - the ECHELON project has been running for more years than I care to remember and that intercepts millions of emails a day!
If you do not know about it - read all about ECHELON here

or here

basically most emails are scanned by the government. If it finds certain keywords in it the email is flagged and has to be manually scanned by a person to verify its content.
If you want to piss these guys off then just add a few words to your signature on every email and some poor bastard has to read every one! 8)
pm me if you want a list of words to use - except you Mr policeman - you already have the list! lol
Hi all
I am in Bangkok on hols but saw this thread.
Yes of course police moniter this site.
But it is no threat as we are doing nothing wrong but communicating with like minded consenting adults.
A funny story here three weeks ago I was at a dogging site in Kent and saw a police car turn up. I had just finished with a couple and thought that was close. What ensued was even funnier as the policeman met up with a girl colleague completely ignored all the doggers and the fact there was 20 cars at midnight in the car park and he started snogging her in the car with a lot of heavy petting and fondling.
Perhaps she was trying to find the secret policeman's ball.
lol
I used my judgement and did not approach even though they appeared to be happy showing. wink
This proved even the police are human and red blooded.
They do agood job I cannot knock them for trying to protect us.
As long as we stay within the law and do not stray we have nothing to fear.
The police moniter everything remember that.
Have great holidays.
I am back in the UK on the 5th.
Love to Jags my ANGEL OF THE NORTH
Sandie
I hope they do - I like the uniform

And it's a pretty sad indictment that the vast majority of paedos have been apprehended by their lack of brains, by using their credit cards to access inet sites.
As has been said of the echelon system: it's main use is that of uncovering information about foreign competitors.

Have a look outside your house Jomu, is there a van parked nearby with tinted windows and several antennae sprouting from the roof? They may have intercepted your Email. lol

No doubt I will be under surveillence now as well.
Is there a van outside ?
Yes.
Tele licence problem.
Are the law monitoring my email ?
Probably. If not, the ISP has to keep all emails sent for a minimum 6 years. So they've got a loada time.
OOpppss, gotta log-onto that site again...for about 5 seconds....that'll get them thinking.
Are they monitoring this site ?
Proabably not....just looking at the members names and then check their email address...even the ones are sorted....after all, a pervert is rarely single minded....one perversion leads to another....today a car park, tomorrow the world.
After all, you didn't REALLY think the 3 million public employees were there to provide services .....did you ?.
(another thing you may not know...along with emergency services, local councils also get your phone number when you call them....even with number witheld.....)

Mark is that some kind of deviant sex act I don't know about yet and do I need to try it??? Always willing to experiment for educational purposes of course
Dawn :silly:
Jomu, you've scared me now - not that I'm doing anything wrong, but will ANYONE believe me???? wink
Of course they'll believe you.........just flutter your eyelashes........no problem.
Of course, when all cars are fitted with the optional, gps based, locator then they'll all KNOW whether or not you were where you said you where.............accurate to the last few metres. You may even be at premium road-charging rate for a popular car park etc.
All the drive-bys will be known and tracked, and all the married blokes at gay sites will be divorced soon after !
The crooks, of course, will not be fazed in the slightest and will carry on being crooked. Your car will still be busted into when you're getting bent over the picnic table and the law will know where you were at the time...the crook will be anonymous, as usual.
(ps: wanna buy a genuine number plate squire.....the bloke's on holiday for 4 weeks so you can beat the city charging...ok ?)(you didn't REALLY think they made it hard to get car number plates to stop car theft...did you ?)
Take two paranoia pills a day for the rest of your life !
Interesting thread, interesting ideas and have to say that yes big brother is more than likely monitoring us...but having worked within the local law enforcement community and their efforts with internet developments have to say can't imagine that they have the local resources, knowledge or inclination to make every adult chat site/dating site an investigative issue.
If this site has been looked at, then the moderation will have made it a non starter in their interest, I should imagine. Despite all the wonderful communications intercepts Bin Laden ( will we be investigated cos I said that?) remains at large, sticking two fingers up at the US.
Despite the billions of intercepts made, it took a raid and a printed list of credit card holders to begin the world's largest crackdown on child porn users, yet the vast majority of those accused in this country were actually innocent and of the seven thousand plus named to the authorities only just above 350 plus were taken to court and only just over 200 actually convicted, thus many were innocently, the victims of credit card fraud etc( Guardian article sometime last week, so figures approx and festive spirit well imbibed by now, but you get the point I hope)
I agree with the posts here that the internet, sex sites, adult fun etc will and should be a focus for those who have responsibilties to us to help keep our children ( and those who may be "at risk") safe. However, don't put too much faith in the ability of our police forces to use the technology at their fingertips, afterall the police in the Soham investigation only got the leads they needed after they went through paper records, the IT route failing them at the outset.
Sorry to go on, I love conspiracy theories, but I like a perspective on them and that has to be based on the evidence we can see, and in my experience, the evidence base, and the failures that seem to occur all too often say that yes, we may be being watched, but I won't lose sleep over it just yet...lol...
A Merry Christmas to you all, a prosperous and happy new year, and don't forget to look over your shoulder!!!
Stu 8) of Fran & Stu.
Have to agree with a lot of what you say Stu - and well put as well.
As you say - there are times when their ability to use the technology at their fingertips is poorly lacking but also the fact that they see the moderation here being sensible probably means that we are not closely monitored - except for our swinging bretheren in the police force!
I do look over my shoulder - frequently - but at the moment all I see is a bloody woman named Fran chasing me! 8) 8)
Talk about massaging your ego! redface surprisedops: Phew!
Well, let's see if the cops are watching or not wink
If you nice Mr. Police Officer types are at a loose end tonight and you fancy a break from the Xmas-eve piss-heads, you're all welcome round to my house for a group session - uniform officers only however. 8pm - don't be late...
OK, let's see how many turn up lol
Merry Xmas all you officers who can't make it, see you in my local car park as soon as the weather warms up :P
Hi everyone...Well I voted no (the police don`t watch this site), on the grounds that they`re really much too busy watching out for real criminals such as motorcyclists having small numberplates, motorists doing one mile an hour over the speed limit, and, heaven forbid, patrolling up and down the dead-end and very dark local lovers` lane (I suspect they`re dogging...) No, they ain`t got time, methinks.
Merry chrissermouse!

Well, I said about the credit cards..........and as for the failures of IT, it wasn't.
The old saying holds true: Garbage in, Garbage out.
And if you don't put anything in, you get the same out.
The failures in the technology were failures in the human input system.
Having seen the system working at the moment, I know your mobile phone can be used to locate its position to a 200 metre radius in areas having extensive coverage.
The new systems will eventually be able to locate the handset position to within a metre.
The law in my town have a few "speed camera" vans wandering about that aren't, speed cam vans that is. They feature ....the number plates are read automatically and the dvla, ncro and insurance industry databases are queried for information...by the middle of next year every car with an MOT will also be on the database....Mr Policeman up the road stops the dodgy ones...and sometimes the DSS and benefits mob are there as well..
and this uses the yanks GPS system...With the advent of europes self-built-and-operated all things will then be possible !!
And probable.
I just LOVE conspiracy gossip
Yes the Police do read this forum, who do you think told me about sites like this?
Mind you i was told not to bother as i would not find anything of interest on sites like this.
But then who can tell for sure what i am in to?
I must stop reading my mail and go to bed, as i am out in about 12 hours looking for fun once more.
