I read with interest lackofnookie's thread "Short joke" that deviated via a discussion of circumcision, interior decoration (pelmets), Cromwellian history, Microsoft's Powerpoint and then finally back to another joke. lol

It was the circumcision bit that interested me, as I had it done at the age of 19. I first went to the doctor because I was regularly tearing my foreskin when shagging, and the pain was putting me off a little. To cut a long story short, it turned out that my foreskin had lost its elasticity and circumcision was the answer.
I can honestly say I prefer the sensations of sex as a roundhead, and it seems to me that the ladies prefer it this way, especially when it comes to blow jobs.
The downsides -
The pain after the op.
The fear of an involuntary hard-on - I spent several weeks drinking huge quantities of beer before climbing into bed with my then girlfriend, just to be on the safe side.
The scars, which are still with me and normally require an explanation when I'm with a new partner.
The ruthless and incessant piss-taking from my mates at the time....
Have any other guys here been through the same, and care to comment on which they prefer?
Do any of the ladies here have a preference?

I must confess to prefering guys that have had 'the snip'.
For one thing, horror of horrors I HAVE come across guys who are less than rigourous when it comes to cleaning behind their foreskins evil

And then what do you say when you were just about to blow them? "Sorry, I'm not sucking you until you've removed the Gorganzola"?
The downside is I sometimes find it very difficult to make circumsized guys come with my mouth. It does seem to lead to a slight lessening of sensation around certain areas - so I've been told? dunno

Well im a Cavalier so i dont really know what its like to be a roundhead and have never asked any of my mates about it i was thinking is there any fems that have been with the same guy who has been both ???? Does she think that the feelings that she gets are different ?????

Certainly I lost some sensitivity after the op, since the head of my old chap was now in constant direct contact with clothing etc. But it didn't make it any harder to make me come.... over 20 years later I still find myself reciting my 17X table.

As Heather mentioned, when you are a cavalier there is the problem of the "gorgonzola"But I find it hard to believe that fully grown men hoping to have sexual contact with a lady feel that it is acceptable to present themselves that I was an awkward teenager I felt funny about cleaning "down there" but realised that it was neither healthy nor particularly nice smelling and what praise be if a girl went near it!!So to those who don't clean (who aren't on here probably) DO IT you make me gip
The one thing I was wondering about the roundheads is the lack of sensitivity-surely this happens because you would be taking a deep breath every time anything brushed against you?

My "10% Extra Free" was removed when I was very young on account of it being too tight or something so I can't offer a direct comparison from personal experience, but I have read that roundheads are less sensitive. I am reliably informed that although it takes me a while longer than the average bloke, I make a lot more noise when I get there, so I guess my orgasm is more intense. Whether that's because I'm circumcised or just weird, I have no way of knowing. confused

My ex hubby and ex partner had both been cirumcised at an early age. It was only when i got into this lifestyle that Ive played with someone who wasn't circumcised.

Seriously, after the op, I didn't find it any easier or any harder to reach orgasm, nor did I find any difference in their intensity. The only real difference I did notice was a greater "clarity" of feeling when wrapped up in a nice warm, welcoming orifice, and being able to tolerate more intense, direct stimulation (you know, guys, the kind that makes you go hmm, hmmmmmm, HMMMMMM, ouch!)

I was circumcised when I was 2 or 3 and therefore cannot tell you what difference I feel sexually!
However a friend of mine has recently been done at the age of 42 and he has said that for the first few weeks it was sensitive to rubbing but never sore and that it has done nothing to change his sex life other than his wife has a mental image of better hygiene and therefore is happier herself.
I do know though that Wilma prefers a circumcised one and the first time she played with a Cavalier she had to ask his wife what to do! The latest couple we have been swinging with were quite surprised on the first swing when she said "Oh I am so glad you have not got a foreskin!" and then promptly blushed when we all looked at her!
I have known a few women say it is more difficult to orally satisfy a man but have no idea why that should be or if it has any basis in fact.

I was done a couple of years ago, at the age of 39, for medical reasons. My girlfriend prefers it now, both for oral and penetration, she says it's better to suck, and the head appears (and feels) bigger than before. I get better sensation, but miss my 10% when taking myself in hand when I'm on my own.
I've also found that when swinging, I get a lot more blowjobs now than before.
So to sum up: circumcised - better for sucking and shagging. Uncircumcised, better for wanking.

I am a cavalier and therefore do not know what being a Roundhead feels like which seems to be the debate, most of us guys have no idea how the other guy feels therefore I will be carrying out a Blue Peter type experiament with the aid of some strategically placed industrial strength sticky tape. In order to simulate everday activity and therefore make the experiament as close to the real thing as possible I will spend time watching t.v. driving the car, carrying out manual tasks etc.
I would now like a Roundhead volunteer, to cut off the finger of an old driving glove (leatherette preferably) and superglue it to the end of his tadger so that we can then make comparison notes at the end of the day.

Just thought I kinda drag the thread back on-topic with my own experiences... (sorry!)
I never had and problems with my foreskin until my late teens - it was fine when I was soft, but when hard the foreskin wouldn't pull back all the way easily, and when it did it was quit painfull, like my helmet was being strangled. I only really noticed it was a problem when I became more sexually active at the age of 19.
Firstly I had my frenum snipped to see if it would help loosen up the foreskin - it didn't, so I ended up with the full roundhead job when I was 20.
Never looked back since (I'm now 31) - it looks better (only slight scarring), and feels so much cleaner and more hygenic. I've not noticed any loss of sensation, but the few times I had sex before being circumcised it was too painful to really notice anything else, so I really don't feel like I'm missing out at all. The only time I ever get a loss of sensation is when using condoms, which I've overcome by being very selective about which brands I use. I get lots of compliments on how nice it looks, which is always nice... biggrin
