I know it's a minimal request, but the buttons on the forum, for new posts, any chance of changing the colours? When a thread is popular, it's hard to see if there are new posts due to the clash of colours when the little icon is over the box...
If they change now they will do so on new site, I posted a few forum pics as I guessed that would be the area you are most interested in.
The threads with new posts are red and the popular threads a bit furher down are quite a bit different.

Its the same as here you need post them private unless you want them in the public gallery. But have a look at the pic upload page at the useability improvements its easy to do if you want to.
You do know there is a filter being built at the moment ? so if you dont want to see them they can be blocked site wide, you can then simply update your filter settings on the home page.
I have to say a few female members suggested the idea when I was at a social. After consideration I thought it was a great idea so it is in development.
We are designing 20 profiles so please keep your suggestions coming.

Why does everyone from admin who have commented on the posts about the gallery ignore all the valid points.... how difficult would it be to allow us to opt in or out of the gallery...
i am not a fan of this part of the site however i tried browsing it...
1) 90% of people within a 3 mile radius showed as being offline for more then 2 weeks... are they actually active.
2) many of the profiles that came up had pstcodes or distances hidden yet they showed up as being within 3 miles
3) some pictures were tagged as being say lesbian, when all they showed were two girls in the same pic... the profile it belonged to said straight fem... i bet there are some pictures that say gay just cause they show two men
If you are revamping/relaunching the site why not set the gallery to an automatic opt out...
then everyone who want to use it as a means to attract meets etc can then post their pictures in a specific gallery photo folder in the photo section... (here you can have 3 folders, Profile Private and Gallery the first two work as they do now... profile pics show up on profile say in profile search or if someone clicks on you in chat... Private are invitable or messageable pics... Gallery go into the gallery and show on your profile)
Pictures not in the gallery will not need tagging and will prevent "miss tagging".
This will also help people using the gallery actually find active members, and also protect those members who are no longer active or are taking a break from the site who may not realise how veiwable their pictures are...
by not considering this as an option it does look to some that you are allowing the site to become a partial porn site, and are only interested in making money from new members and not allowing current members to do what they came on here for and that is swinging... the gallery is mearly a slide show, it is not obvious that these pictures can link to profiles.
some of us on here feel that by making our pics so accessable we have to hide them. restricting us from finding people to swing with. it is not difficult now for someone to decide to pay £15 for the month and do a search to see who you can spot in compromising photos, they can easily download them and use them for unsavoury purposes if they so desired.
In the past it used to be that you had to scroll through profiles in order to get to pics, which helped increase the chances that someone may actually read some of the profile before seeing the pics, perhaps lowering the number of people contacting you that you may not be looking for... now its a case of pick, click message....
of course this is just one opinion but as i have said its just one button or one folder, freedom of choice for all. we are not saying remove the gallery just give us the choice to use it... just like those who do not like the chatrooms have the choice to use them as have those who do not like forums....
So i ask again for a simple yes or no answer ca/will we be given the option to opt in/out??? yes or no?
Well on upload you either want them to be public or private cant really make it simpler than that!. We are not going to add in all sorts of extra stuff to make it long winded for a million people so it is a bit easier for a handful.
Have a look at the new picture management page screen shot, very simple just upload them into your private album.
The gallery has always been a way to find people you are attracted to and it works very well.
We have had a large amount of comments on the new Gallery from members. Not one single member has sent in a negative ticket in two days and we ask for feedback on every page!!!!. At its peak today over 100 searches per second were being run so its clearly useful to most people.
We have however had comments from members asking how they get better coverage in the gallery and appear on the first page for searches etc.
Im afraid we aim to please but can only ever please most people most of the time with so many members.

Where would it end? just because you dont want your pics in Gallery but want them on your profile. If you dont want anyone to see them then "Private" is the best option. Then you can select exactly who you want to view them.
You would also have all the normal site permission issues so if you decide to move pictures around between permissions. Half permissions, friends permissions etc. Just far to complicated because you cant be bothered to just upload private and invite your friends....
Im not trying to be funny but it all works well at the moment for "most of the members most of the time".
Every single photo on this site used to be public before we took it over. And im not talking over 18s members only gallery public. Im talking everything to anyone on the internet public. We introduced watermarks to prevent picture theft, we introduced private galleries to maintain peoples privacy. We removed public net access to profiles etc.
Same old, same old.
It seems to me that the mods, admin and chatrrom ops have plenty to say between themselves, but where are the so called 'members' in all this?
I appreciate the need to "upgrade" the site but it's difficult to make any real comments about the "… navigational and usability improvements …", when the pictures show no sign of it, without using the new site. And so a series of pictures showing the same/similar imagees but in different colours isn't very informative. In fact at first glance it seems like window dressing rather than any real interface improvement. There is much, much more to interface design than just superficial changes of colour and images
Also from a user interface point of view there seems to be little evidence of significant changes in navigation or intuitive structure. The main changes seems to be redesigned icons and buttons, and use of a different colour palette. The only comment I've read so far, from a real user interface perspective, has come from two-4-more.
This is a real chance to make the site great, but once again I'm afraid this opportunity will be dreadfully squandered, but it's not too late to take onboard some real constructive comments that will make the site easier to use, and more consistent. None of these issues appear to have been resolved yet.

will the new layout be tested on all browsers not just the regular firefox and i.e. and also will it be 'mobile' friendly so i can ermmmm perve i mean browse on my mobile phone.
well..firstly would be nice to see a section where pics are only viewed by full members. The main reason i say this is because of this situation at the moment...to many members are now puting pics in private. I am geting fed up of asking to perv !!
Secondly and the question I think on alot of people lips....is with the all new re-launch....will the old FREE membership people, still have this privelige or will we be asked to start paying ???
so it will all feel very familiar to use. But in the next 6 weeks you should be using the new site at least along side this one. Jam packed with navigational and usability improvements :idea: I think you will all have hours of fun using it. There are far too many usability improvements to list on here and the vast majority were suggested by the members.
