I've been a member for many years and last year my relationship with my partner ended, nothing too drastic she wanted a new life, I moved on & changed my profile (& password) from couple to single male - yesterday however my profile changed to a couple with partner listed as 26 yr old gay male, nothing against gay males but I did not change my profile, I live on my own & nobody has access to my computer, there was not any date of change on the profile - I can only presume that someone within sh had access to change my account without my knowledge, has anyone ever heard of or had similar ?
The server has just been updated and this has happened to someone else I spoke to last night. I suspect it's just a glich in the system but if you're at all concerned then go to the Help page - <<<<<<< over there and take a support ticket and Admin will be able to help.

update, a moderator has changed my profile from single male to gay couple and advised that l would need to update my profile to replace the default rubbish that has been entered !

Your moderator had no right to enter a partner in my profile as a gay male aged 26 ! I have added my new partner to my profile but this is very early days for her and we were waiting until she feels more comfortable/ confident about the privacy on this site before going further - HOW IS SHE GOING TO FEEL NOW ! You have a position of trust over all profiles and in this case you have abused your position and my trust, you could have contacted me directly but you chosen to insult me & that is unacceptable, I have 3 adverts and in all I have been advertising as a male seeking females/ couples, I have just checked and noticed that my advert text does state couple looking for.... but that was inadvertantly left when profile changed from couple to single male and no-one has complained about that - there are loads of single females advertising and in most cases they state they are married or in partnership, are you going to change all of their profiles (from single female) and abuse them ?

KarenNick... you say in your orig. post that you have nothing against gay males.... yet your "update" confirms you are insulted by the insinuation.
Why the sudden shift???
It defaults automatically to bi male for what ever reason.
You then need to log in andre set it to your requirements ie couple, single what ever.

I cant see a problem with having to fill out an " honest " profile myself.
Actually Karennick, a moderator was not power crazy by doing this, they were infact doing you a favour. Your profile stated you were a couple and the moderator actually did you a favour and saved you by updating it on your behalf to a couples profile. The fact that the default settings for any couples account is gaymale, is not something we can change, and it is down to you to put your personal details in.
However, if you are disastisfied with this, I can change it back to single male, and you can pay for it to be updated.
