I know we've done this before, but I cant find the thread to bump it up redface
have you got snow this morning? what's it like where you are?
usually in general threads like this everyone has a quick post, including noobs, we can check in on each other and raise awareness for anyone travelling (especially useful with 2 Munches and a social this weekend wink)
Today I have no car (MOT day :scaredsmile its my day off & we've walked to school in the snow, which was wonderful! hardly anything at 7am when I got up...its now coming down thick and fast :bounce: :bounce: Snake Pass on Saturday could be fun if this continues
so, come on - did you get up to a white-out and feeling like a big kid today? or is snow a major inconvenience for you?
to those on the roads today - take care!
Weather Watch from Mid-Bedfordshire.
I don't wish anyone to come to any harm of course but I've not had to go into work today, which is nice.
2 inches here and still snowing! Will get a couple of pictures up if we go for a walk later. Mrs Kiss and I might go sledging down the local hilly park. redface
I've already been out with my shovel to clear a bit of the path to feed the birds.
Safe journey to anyone that has no choice but to go out and about today!
It was just starting as i took my boy to school, and its coming down quite gently at the quite deep aleady though.
Living on a hill i think i may be on my bum when i go to pick him up later lol

I have my sledge waxed and ready tho'

It has just started snowing here... I was soo disappointed when I woke up this morning and there was no snow, but it's here now :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

was listening to radio this morning and local radio was making a huge deal out of the list of schools closed around here - stats on how many gritters had been out etc - like some kind of military operation - its where I stole the thread title from  & they'd even done a jingle to big up the impending grinding-to-a-halt status of the area! proper made me :giggle:
I mean.................even airports are closing...
Now I'm not saying that we should just make the planes take off and land whatever the weather but come on....
Mr Blur surely can get some equipment of his puppet master George dubbleya to help him keep the airports open...
9 inches would be nice but i will settle for some snow biggrin
A blanket of snow here ,
walked son to school as always had snowball fight and was sliding all over place not as cold as it looks.
We don't have any snow
What I'm worried about though is getting to the munch on Saturday if it keeps snowing in England confused

I would suspect it will be gone by then anyway
If not the main bulk of your journey will be on motor-ways and as such should be OK anyway...
Wiltshire & M4
Snowed like blazes here from 3:00am until around 9:30am :bounce:
Now turned to sleet and everything is turning to slush
Those of you who attended past bbq parties may recognise this:

Shall I get the pool out  bolt
Roads are all passable but treacherous especially in sheltered places, be careful out there wave
A bit grainy but I just took this out of my bedroom window!
We have about 4 to 5 cms according to eldest child who walked to school to be turned away rolleyes
I'm not going outside so this is from the door step :lol2:
Quite a bit of snow here, schools not closed much to my kids disgust. Walked son to school as usual and then took dog for his usual morning walk. He looked like a yeti covered in snow!!
Suze xx
Son's school is closed much to the disgust of youngest daughter who has gone to school :lol2:
Just waiting for the camera batteries to charge up then I will post the pics Steve took smile
We've got loads !
Most of the school's are closed so the kids have been busy scraping snow off the cars all morning. My 16 year old was in the street at running around in it like a 5 year old rolleyes
I'm just hoping it all goes away soon or we'll be cancelling our trip  If you don't see me later, I'll be on my way
Boo hoo

If anyone is planning on taking a Virgin Train service today .... be that Virgin west coast... or Virgin Cross County
I would give them a call before you try travelling, they seem to the the Company suffering the most and about 1/2 there trains are running
