Socks: Sexy or not?

This debate started in chat after seeing a certain chap who shall remain nameless in underpants and socks.
Now... Personally, I find blokes that are nude or semi-nude wearing socks the BIGGEST passion killer out. It's just not right. I would much rather the socks came off before or with the trousers, just NO bare legs and socks. To me it's akin to the socks-and-sandles horror that is foisted upon us every summer by blokes with NO idea how bad it looks.
Someone else (no names, no pack drill, but it was a bloke) said pop-sox on women was just as bad...
So... Views please: Socks- are they sexy or not?

Agree that socks on an otherwise naked body is ewwwwww!!
But put a guy in a kilt and the socks all of a sudden are Swit Swoooooo (or however you spell a wolf whistle dunno

).
It seems to me that socks on a naked body make the legs look so weedy, but on a kilted bod, they change to soooo macho! :hunk:

Another thing - socks are sold as short or long socks...
How many guys actually fold the tops of their short socks over like they're meant to??
They should change the packaging to either 'long socks' or 'lower calf stretched to try to make mid calf' socks confused

Mainly cos if my legs are hairy, I don't want any kind of gap whatsoever between my sock and my trousers when I sit down :scared:

A timely question.
I have a conundrum, at xmas, I'll be in an apartment with my kids, my husband, and (everything crossed) my lover.
I'ts in the Alps- so we aint talking balmy.
Now I have to try & find a balance twixt looking not obvious when the kids see me back & forth to the living area in the morning (lover will be on sofabed in lounge)......and not looking like Nora Batty.
All has just been solved, however. I've just had a call from my mum, who said- "Oooh, I've just bought you two lovely pairs of bedsocks for your xmas trip"

Sort of, but I do feel sorry for the women in the various photos, being shagged and the guy is wearing socks ffs, and there must have been someone else there to take the photos as well!!
You would have thought someone would have said something!!
