Can anyone tell me, please, what is the effect of Viagra (a)on men (i.e. does it give you a hard-on regardless of stimulation, and having cum, does it speed up a 2nd erection?, & (b) on women?
Also, can anyone recommend an aphrodisiac for women (apart from oysters & champagne!!!)?
Cant talk about the Viagra, but can recommend Ginkgo biloba for women. It works in what I believe is a similar way to Viagra in that it speeds up blood flow to the sex organs.
It is comparatively cheap and you buy it from the herbalists. I believe that it should not be used by anyone with a history of blood pressure problems.
It works even for women who do not have problems and certainly hightens the orgasm!!!
If any men are thinking of trying this on their partners I would warn them to make sure they can cope with the results!!
GULP! - I take Ginko Biloba for other reasons.....
Goes off to test other effects
Manxman, I'm not a medic, but from what I've heard viagra does not give you a hard-on regardless of stimulation, but once stimulated you're more likely to get and keep it. The effects on women are the same as they are on men.
Don't take too many, they're bad for your heart

With the greatest of respect Manxman, unless you have a medical condition whereby you are prescribed Viagra by a member of the medical profession (who will have explained what exactly the drug will do for you), then I fail to see why any man or woman would feel the need to indulge themselves in something that could be potentially very dangerous if it has not been specifically prescribed.
There said it!!
One example of the absolute stupidity of the use of Viagra.
At the first swinging party we attended a young guy took a 100mg Viagra tablet. He drank copius amounts of alcohol for many hours. He complained that the Viagra was having no effect and then took two more tablets. We left the party early because of the use of the drug and some other factors. But by all accounts he suffered for two days from the after effects.
Needless to say it did him no good.

Following on from other advice, here is a list of drugs which SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN WITH VIAGRA, OR IF YOU ARE TAKING THEM YOU SHOULD NOT USE VIAGRA.
Note: "poppers" or amyl/ethyl nitrate fall into the category of nitrates, the effect of these is well known...blood vessel dilation followed by lowering of the blood pressure and then an increase in heart rate and depth to rise the bp to normal...but don't use them with viagra...not unless fainting is something you like, or worse.
The following is a list of some commonly prescribed Nitrates by class.
