The music the smiths echo and the bunnymen ..new wave still love it all
Girls ... being young free single and rich..
buying a flash sportscar and a house when i was 25
happy days cool
Do you remember those white girls boots that were all wrinkly above the ankles. I told a friend I thought they were great, he said "that's cause they look like her knickers are round her ankles". True True.
ABC - Look of Love
Soft Cell - Say Hello Wave Goodbye
New Order - Blue Monday (1982 can you belive it!! - still sounds fresh)
Madonna - Just about everything!!
Knight Rider, The Eqailizer & Air Wolf
Ooh - lots of things I love about the '80s! It started out with a bang for me, as I lost my virginity for the first time on New Year's Day 1980. In '81, I lost it for the second time ;), had my very first threesome and discovered the awesome wonder of breasts. The next three years were spent in a psychedelic haze with seemingly-endless parties. Amazingly during that time, I graduated college and secured a professorship in computer science. Then, in '85, I took an unhealthy interest in one of my students and we got married...and spent the remainder of the '80s in calm, wedded bliss. Nice decade, that.

Heh - I'd give Ms Harry a bit more than 3 cheers - and so would Vix! ;)
The 80's yeah.
1.) Hip - Hop being real & not the bling bling rubbish it is today. Also being funny & political.
2.) Action Cartoons. He - Man, Transformers, Ulysses 31& the mighty Thundercats.
3.) Good Saturday Night Family Television.
4). Liverpool FC. Playing excellent Football & at the same time not being hated like Man Utd are today by the majority of rivial supporters.
For a year it was 1987.
Liverpool had the 'holy trinity' of Beardsley, Barnes & Aldridge. Also the year that Polo Shirts hit the streets & everyone needed that Adidas Ivan Lendl Shirt.
Ohhh the goodie 'ol days.
boink
I have to agree with the sarge.
Getting divorced.. Best thing that ever happened to me.
Then I met Mrs Fac a year later and had a brilliant life ever since.

(I have to admit to liking 70s music best as I was brought up on Led Zep and Deep Purple, especially Child In Time)

I know, in a few years time the millions i have in my mum and dads loft somewhere might be worth about £20, lol!!!
I collect other toys now though, couldnt really store THOSE in their loft though!!
Anyway, i digress!!!!
I've sat back and thought some more about the eighties...
Saw Adam and the Ants and was well amazed they were great back then...at least I thought!
Someone mentioned The Equalizer
Battle of the Planets.. was that the 80's?
The Live Aid Concert! and Freddie Mercury goading the crowds!!! Fantastic
In the Air Tonight- Phil Collins!
Indiana Jones! + the original Star Wars trilogy (yes I know "A New Hope" was late 70's!)
Jean Michel Jarre- Rendez-Vous and Docklands both superb
Baggies, jeans with more flies than I could actually piss out of!
The end of Jimmy Savilles Jim'll fix it!!
Charles and Di wedding (would have to jump forward to the 90's for the divorce!!)
When were "the Smurfs" a mass hit when everyone collected them??? That goes for Star Wars figures too!!!
Well I hope this jogged a few memories
Was a teenager during the eighties..... youthclub, butlins with school, loosing my virginity, discos, practically everything was excellent (fashion was a tad dodgy) collecting VW badges, pepe keyrings (off the jeans).
Wouldn't change too much really .......
drinkies lots and lots of the stuff,my first gang bang, being kicked out for bringing home yet another bike, but this one would do 186mph :laughabove: out of the box, living in my transit, then buying my first truck, living and working it, geting drunk again, bigger and better truck stops, earning silly money and buying a bigger truck, driving in europe, my first 3some, spanish pros......lol (i was to tight to pay...he he he) and my french mistress...lol,oh and the music. :eeek:
Oh, the eighties.....being able to leave your front door open, sing songs around the piano, long hot summers, day trips to Margate..........
Thundercats, he man and animorphs!
What the hell is "Animorphs"??? I can remember a program called "Manimal" which starred old matey the posh Dr in casualty where he could take on the form of most animals or some shit,, (actually he didn't ever turn into shit but you know what i mean) but not animorphs sorry???? could you shed some light?
I can also remember a tv series based on Tony Harts (actually not his but the Aardman studios') "Morph"
Just had another mind flash!! George the Hoffmeister Bear Ads...
V similar to manimal but there was more than one of them - I remember manimal as well, didn't he start as an eagle?
Manimal developed the "change into animals" thing - at first it was just a hawk or panther.
Later in the series he started to try some more ambitious tranformations for various "missions" - a bull was one, a snake was another, which gave him some trouble.
Hmm, perhaps we should start up a TV thread.
Remember coming home from school and doing your homework then watching the early TV American imports - not just Manimal - The A Team, Blue Thunder, Knight Rider, all those ones.
Last memories of "childhood" - the next year I was out shagging every evening after school!
