Having always detested the unsexiness of tights, I have always been a traditional stockings & suspenders girl. Preferably fishnet, or seamed. Understated but sexy. Although I have discovered that stringer tights look fab over a pair of black knickers. But it does not make for easy access.
I was discussing hosiery with my male friend, who says tights are for kids and stockings with suspenders are too fussy and hard to get off (missing my point that they're better left on), he likes hold ups. Which are great in theory, but leave an unsightly bulge at the back even on my skinny size 6 thighs.
I've also never liked novelty materials, but am wary of wearing fishnets every day and recycling the same look. So I am briefly contemplating herringbone, or diamond patterned. But I'm not sure if these are a bit childish. Or maybe a coloured fishnet - but is that a bit trashy for my (admittedly not very conservative) office?
So my question is, what is your hosiery of choice for sexiness, and does anything in particular turn you on, or off?

I have discovered, much to my dismay, that I am prepared to "put up" with those all in one stockings-and-belt and I can imagine they don't leave much in the way of a line like regular suspenders do.
I think I'd find fishnets a bit much in an office unless it was between the bottom of a knee length skirt and the top of some boots. Then it looks sexy. Much more revealed than that and I might begin to question professionality, and I LOVE stockings, even the suspicion that there might be stockings.
My personal preference of stockings on a lady for maximum horn has to be a deep lace top and not too sheer/shiny. I find it hard to fathom your male friend has an issue with them. :confused:

They are not ucomfortable to wear and they are just as sexy with the right underwear as sussies are...
But best of all if you have nice pair of legs why not show them in all their glory with just pair of nice heels and nowt else.........

I agree with this. I cannot deny that I'm traditional in that it's nice to look at nice tanned be-stockinged legs, but to put a warm hand on cool flesh is instantly electric, and someone taking tights off in front of you is deffo not sexy, not in the least.
Its getting harder and harder to find stockings - I prefer seamed ones, and so i do wear hold ups, patterned, lacy and plain. iI prefer stockings and sussies though.
Mr D has hairy legs tho and sometimes complains that he gets a painful nip from the rubber if the hold up curls over slightly!

I don't like fishnets but I'm a hold ups girl normally, patterned or plain, thick or fine depending on the weather and type of skirt/dress. I always wear stockings with a skirt unless it's a mini then it's patterned tights and knee high boots

I would say that, generally speaking, I am in favour of hold ups. They come in lots of designs and sizes (although these differ from retailer to retailer so watch out) and are good with tight fitting outfits, such as pvc where you dont want lumps and bumps to show.
However when wearing a gown or dress, nothing is sexier than a corset, body or just plain sexy suspender belt with some stockings - I think most men would go with this choice.
I think it also depends on your mood, somehow stockings are a sexier raunchier prospect for all concerned.

For those of us who don't have good legs, don't spend our lives under a sunbed and don't like the tango look of fake tan, hosery is the only option when waering a skirt. I'm a hold ups girl but am yet to find a pair that fit properly. If anyone else suffers from slightly thick thighs and has found some that aren't too tight at the top I'd be grateful of a pm.

Now I always thought Ann Summers was pretty crap - but, I have to admit they do sell hold-ups with a good quality (stays-up) and generous fitting leg-tops.
