I tried to get interest last year for xscape trip............. count me in for it definitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Xscape Cas would be good............ but leaners need to realise thay can't be on the slope without tuition!!!!!!
First timers would need to bear in mind!!!!!

Could you pop a post on the Skip trip thread thean 'pretty' please. It'll get lost if it's on here.
See the link in my sig...
Ta very much.

we go skiing every year going to neiderau austria in jan, xscape runs too short, ok for beginners.
I like red runs but have a bad habit of falling on black runs lol
got two kids that ski and show me up little shits got no fear
me and sierra been going 20 years now and still love it .
new years eve to it is usually naked skiing at xscape on new years eve.

Even though I am a naturist, I think I'd pass on the naked skiing!
I know the runs are short at xscape - but with a few of us from here an hour or so there before going for a drink could be a laugh!
And it's better than a dry ski slope.
Going to be in Val d'Isere over New Year ? ... anyone fancy meeting for a spot of "apres ski" ! ?

Neil lives near xscape in castleton and we've been on a sunday....... riddlied with kids screaming! lol
It looks good though and they have an ice climb too which looks fantastic!
I'm rubbish at skiing but I might need practice for family holiday next winter where theyve promised to push me down the piste instead of nextdoors' drive way!
kiss

castleford you numptie! CASTLEFORD!
ignore her alex, daft as a brush that one! rolleyes
though now you mention it, Xscape at cas looks bloody good. straight up the M1/A1/M62 any which way? dunno sounds good to me?
they've got a great climbing wall too, but a tad expensive at 8 quid for half an hour. the ice climb looks ace, and the slopes pretty good.
neil x x x ;)
We ski tho admittedly not very well. We expext to be going back to Andorra in January, snow permitting.
Seems like there are a few more snow loving SH members than i realised....
I love the snow, but cant ski to save myself... i tried and failed.... went to Austria in January, had a great time but failed to learn to ski...
I know Alan would probably be interested in a days skiing at the Xscape (theres one being built in glasgow as we speak)... i could go for the aprre ski...
anyhoo... just adding a name to the list
Andorra is great for peeps wanting to learn to ski..not to good for good skiers as the limited slopes sometimes gets boring, although if you do get bored then you can get the cable car to another place with more slopes. it is a very good laugh and there are pubs all around. some of the pubs show videos of all the new skiers tring to use the lifts and ski down the slopes. they put it up on a big screen..really funny.....cheap holiday, cheap lessons if you need them, very very cheap booze and very good fun..id go back anytime, had some great laughs there and met some fun peeps .
wrats
Agree completely - thats why we are going back lol
i have been learning so I would like to go at some point.........quite fancy a go on the Ice wall too
I love skiing, but I prefer the real thing to being inside Xscape or somewhere similar. I love the thought of a group of us lot hiring out a huge chalet and getting fresh air in the day and hot tubs and fun in the evening! I would be well up for that!

Alan has just walked in the door and seen this thread and shouted i do i do i do...
SH = Ski Heaven and Swinging Heaven.. sex and skiing at the same time can be dangerous... it can freeze your nuts off! Just imagine what you cold grab on a T-Bar!
Doing it on a chair lift, would this be classified as dogging???
A few years back there were things that were in fashion and if you were ever thinking of going skiing nude, like th epictures in the post cards, just remember that ultimate fashion accessory "The Willy Warmer"... And for the Ladies, you can get a set of Muffs!
The Scottish hills have almost full coverage at the moment, so what are you waiting for???

I agree
Anyone who hasn't skiied but wants to learn - Andorra is ideal.
Not only for the reasons above, but if you do like it and want to buy your own gear - it is dirt cheap. We bought all our stuff there when we first started skiing. We went to Andorra twice in 8 weeks.
The next year we went to St Anton in Austria and by the second day we were on black runs! (That's the beauty of snowblades - so much easier!)
