At this point I might add that munches are open to everyone so the mix of males and females is irrelevant. The more popular munches are attended by almost all the regulars and a considerable number from the chat room too. Invites to attend are not given based on gender, and never will be.

Christmas is a not a joyous time for everyone ..please bear this in mind ... whilst you're busy stuffing your faces and excessing .... think of those single and/orelderly people .... think of all those enduring painand suffering, missing loved ones who are absent or have passed on in the last year. Share a thought for all those laid up seriously ill, for the families of xmas alcoholics struggling to cope. For all those in debt, lost or homeless.
For all the people displaced from families and countries due to war or persecution.
Call them scrooge ... shout Bah Humbug to them and feel good about yourselves?
In a country where religious freedom is a pride, it shames me to see people criticising others for their beliefs ...
We do celebrate a form of xmas here ... very small and peaceful, we spend time with our families and the gifts we give are more about love and understanding than monetary value. Our christmas this year will be sent comforting a very sick old man who lost his wife of 50 years last xmas eve - decorations and gift feel inappropriate. We'll be nursing a child with cancer who is still seriously ill, unbrainwashing our children that xmas is christs b'day and teaching them about the real roots of the festival, but trying at the same time to instill values of peace and goodwill to all men.
