What makes me happy and glad to be alive ...

* Being thankful that everyday is a new day and a fresh start to put right the wrong things I've done or said in the past. :angel:

i believe the joke threads get locked cos there's really nothing more to be said is there? The joke - old or new - may make some people laugh. Some of those may post a :lol: or whatever but that's it.

I agree with both of you guys.
For me personally I like a good laugh and if there was a specific thread either sticky or whatever I would probably visit it from time to time. I am rubbish at remembering jokes and telling them so I wouldn't post back - well except for the odd 'ROFLOL - that was funny' type of thing.
On the other hand I also agree with DF, there isn't much option with joke threads to input or have your say or have conversations which is primarily what the forum is for.
IMHO - IF ... (and thats a big if) the thread was used properly to post purely jokes alone it may work, if it starts going off the subject or gets personal then it should be stopped or locked. If it doesn't get used then delete it. No harm in trying it is there???

Hello all, :angel:
This is a great thread ... I have been reading it and trying to think of something to say as a reply but wasn't sure what to put at first.
I haven't been around for a while and many of you probably wont remember me or even know who I am.
When I was actively reading and posting on the forum I found that I could generally tell what kind of personality people had by their style of writing. The things that interested me most was humour and people who showed some sensitivity too.
I generally only reply to posts that interested me and inputed into the discussion.
I feel it's nice to be able to have a laugh and a joke, although I wouldn't say I am particularly funny.
I also think respect is a good point for me too, everyone is an individual and deserves the right to be just that. While I may not agree with their argument I respect that its their choice and right to think that way.
That's my 2pence worth for now ...
P.S Hello everyone who does know me .. have some catching up to do!!! :happy:

4, The venue hasnt changed and the plan is to meet in a pub still - anyone is welcome to come meet us, then a party at ours for people we know personally or for people who can be vouched for by people we know. (All info will be sent by SHmail soon). :beer: :beer:
5, Plans for my toxic vodka jelly is in place and will be made a couple of days before the social. :color: :color:
