Today I bought my first pair of glasses having noticed over the last wee while that the small print on things have become increasingly blurred,I have the odd wrinkle and thinner hair but this is the single most dramatic change in my person that has made me realise I am getting on a was your moment that actually made you think you were getting older.

Hi,
Unfortunately in an SH sense our time to trawl the site is considerably reduced due to V starting a new job. (but on the flip side, a great job see is really loving)
When we looked in the forums we couldn't help thinking how quiet it was! Nothing about the recent floods, no advise on how to grab a Christmas snog under the mistletoe.
Please don't tell us this site is entering it's late middle age with quiet resignation to the inevitable whilst wearing comfy slippers and drinking coco?

I also notice the forums are much more quiet than when I joined in 2009,back then thet were full of pranks and games and probably more used than the chat rooms,Im glad some people are still making the effort to keep things going tho.

I learned in 2016 that I can stiil at the age of 48 shock the hell out of myself with my actions,I also learnt that my once utterly dependant sons are tipping the scales and looking out for me now they have left home, this has been a very humbling experience and I am so very proud of them both,

I am curious - if you could only have someone with two of the three - looks, wit, heart - with the third attribute being absent... Which combinations are preferable to you, which are acceptable, which are out of the question?
What would you look for in a proper partner, what would you look for in a play partner?
For the purpose of this I'll define things as:
Looks - attractive appearance, whatever that maybe to you
Wit - intellect or intelligence, an interesting or pleasing personality
Heart - empathy, kindness, caring

Wit and heart for me I have met many beautiful boxes adorned with ribbons and other such delights to make it a most desirable box but on opening the box and looking inside found nothing but bile...

Thanks everyone, Now as much a I say I never mention it, every year I do, hoping for a response and a laugh.
Just after my birthday last year we had two family deaths on the same day same place and not really connected, I lost my father and my elder sister 40 mins apart. My old mum died 6 years earlier with three days, although there was a little light because my grand daughter appeared in this world.
Besides my blessed little grand kid, May isn't a great month anymore for me.
Thanks everyone, truly I appreciate your birthday wishes.
Maybe things will be better next one

Thats been rough...I wish you lots of happy Mays from now on in..best wishes

Happy Birthday - now spare a thought for me, I am organising a birthday party for Sasha as I do every year, she starts reminding me about it on the 1st March every year, (29th February in Leap Years)
The reason she starts then is because that is the day after my own birthday party.
So far I have organised
2 venues (a restaurant and a swingers club) for the party
2 limousines
2 Hostesses from the local lap dancing club to hand out the champagne
Ordered a dance pole for home
Taken delivery of the laser lighting for the dance room
Ordered her various outfits, (cocktail dress, lingerie evening gown and 2 pair of shoes)
taken delivery the engraved gifts which are prizes for the guests (30 of them)
taken delivery of 37 items large and small to decorate the venue (including 100 balloons and helium)
had the invites printed and given many out with many more to go
Confirmed the first 42 guests (expecting that number to triple
Organised the champagne for the guests arrival
Booked a professional DJ
Ordered the evening gowns and shoes for the hostesses (4 pairs/dresses)
Put the adverts out on 5 swingers sites
Still to start
Prepare the garden for a sunny afternoon option of a drink in the sun
Decorate the dance room
have a nervous breakdown
Still I should have it all ready, after all the party isn't happening until the end of July lol

Jed...I usually use a load of words to say very little but in this case I have one word to say.....Thats fkin aewsome!!!! (well 3)

Can you please help this challenged pebble... What do you want to hear when you ask a stranger "How are you?" How do you reply when a stranger asks you "How are you?" Give me a crib sheet so I can navigate through this waste of typing into more interesting topics! Apparently "OK" is not an acceptable answer! Neither is listing the things that are going right and/or wrong. So what is an acceptable answer?
There is a particular guy that always, only asks me how my weekend is going. So today I thought I'd jump in first - I said, "Hi, how was your weekend?" and he replied, "Really lovely, thanks! How was yours?" (only with worse punctuation). Foiled!
Please help - many a conversation has died out before it'd even started because people insist on asking to know how I am doing... I come on chat to escape my routine, not to report it to non-interested parties!

I am guilty of the dreaded "how are you" approach on occasions, usually when I am intimidated and fully expecting a rebuff so rather than say what I really want to, it feels inappropriate to tell someone from the off that they make your heart sing and your loins turn to fire!! so "how are you" seems the only option...I guess take it as a compliment and "how are you" is probably code for you are utter heaven and I desire you greatly...just a thought...smile
4 years ago I came off SwingingHeavenChat without any support,I ignored the advice given to me and went cold turkey, It was initially a struggle, I mean everywhere you go there seems to be a keyboard calling you to pick up and use again.I would be lying if I said I have been compleley abstenant during my so called recovery,I managed to stay away from my chat of choice namely SHC but did succumb to some other lower grade chatrooms Im afraid to say.
These were brief relapses but I knew deep down it was only a matter of time before I returned to my primary habit that is SHC. cunning baffeling and powerful that it is.
I am well and truly back on the merry go round now, my sleep pattern is non exsistend, when I do sleep its with one eye open, the other day I woke up to find I was spooning a laptop. I have not shaved for over a week,I have stopped eating, Im horribly dehydrated my flat looks like a tornado has whipped through it, my inhibitions have flown out the window, god knows what day or time it in all im back in heaven and cant think what on earth I left for in the first place!!!
Recovery be dammed..
