 more than I care to remember redface oh and for those that know me, sorry about the old avatar, I'm not that man anymore, Will try to find something more suitable soon.
Hope you guys are well and that life has treated you all kindly! So many names, so many avatars that conjure up a lot of good memories.
Particularly the 'coffee meets monitor' moments, the waking up rushing to the forums to see how a thread played out the night before and especially the many occasions of sitting by the puter with tears of mirth rolling down your face laughing so hard that it hurt rotflmao
Happy days
looks like we're going to have to sort the bar staff out tomorrow, but for now, my bed is calling me.
Really good to be back, brings back some nice memories wink
Wish you all a safe warm and peaceful goodnight  kiss

Guys, ....... I’ve only just heard about this through a mutual friend so please excuse the lateness. sad
All that can be said has been said in this wonderful supportive thread. All I can add is please try as hard as you can to hold on to her strength, the beautiful smile, and all those happy times you were privileged to share.
I know nothing of your spiritual beliefs, religion or otherwise, but at a time like this it is a comfort to know that her spirit, her life force and her never ending strength will never leave your sides and will be with you both forever.
I wish there were words to convey the peace love and fulfilment that you both deserve. She was obviously a happy, strong and positive soul. It is now time for you both to draw on her strength to bring you through this, whatever you do or do not believe in, you will feel her power throughout the coming years, and you will, in the quiet moments, feel her spirit within and beside you.
Never stop talking to her, and include her in all your deliberations, try as hard as you can to temper your sadness with the sure and certain knowledge that she is with you, and most importantly for you, the one who are left behind on a journey that you just can’t follow, please allow yourselves to grieve!
Bless you all, all my love and strength I send to you,
Pete

Being a little bit geeky, i find presents so easy to wrap that other people ask me to wrap theirs.
It's just a simple engineering project requiring a little fore thought and a basic understanding of geometry. a little added care and attention to make sure all the edges are double folded and the use of some double sided tape should make sure you get a neat and visually pleasing parcel ;-)
failing that you can always buy a nice gift box or look for a gift wrapping service...
now, i wonder how Dave Notts is getting on with his wrapping? :haha:

OMG!
OH MY GOD!!!
It all falls into place now!!! :giggle:

Do you believe in the saying "right person, wrong time"?
Someone said it to me earlier and I'm not so sure.
If they were/are the right person, would it not automatically be the right time?
dunno

Hmmm multiple choice, I like those wink
Short answer ...... yes
In explanation ........... there can always be a time in your life, when you so really think that you are ready for something ........... I mean really believe it .................. and then it comes along and scares the living bejeebahs out of you because, ... actually ..... no you aint!!!
A year or two later, you’ve settled down, life has taken its courses and twists and turns, , , ... and guess what? ............ you start to think ............. hmmm, you know what? Maybe I made a bit of a boo boo?
Sooo. In answer to your question ............ yeah, absobloodyloutley.

what a lovely memory to have xxxx
Yeah, it is actually. I guess thats why I love the great outdoors so much, spent the first 7 years of my life playing on my own in deepest darkest forests or sitting next to granddad on his lumber waggon riding through same forests .................
dont you feckin dare you lot, I know what you're thinking, ....perverts..... rolleyes
hope you're well earthy xxxx
IN EDIT: ...... Oh, and taking your religious beliefs into account ...... we lived about 20 miles away from "The Brocken" ..... I'm sure you know where I mean ;o) xxx
OK, you asked for it ...... there’s a story attached to this one.
When I was a nipper, I grew up in a very mountainous, forested and lightly populated area of Northern Germany. My granddad was a forester, of the old school, wagon, horses, all that stuff. At that time it was still very usual for people to make a living from the forests, hunters, trappers, shepherds moving flocks, traders going from a to b etc etc, anyway ............ my granddad used to make something he called ‘Trail Soup’. Basically the unwritten law of the trail was as follows, whatever your business in the forest, as evening drew on you would either start to look for a camp site of your own, or, if you were lucky, you would spot someone else’s camp and ask to ‘join the fire’ as part of the ‘joining’ you would add bits of whatever food you happened to be carrying at the time to the pot.
Here is granddads version:-
Large stewpot, water, <doh> lentils, peas, roughly diced smoked pork hock, onions, potatoes, more peas, dumplings, more peas, wild garlic, strips of belly pork, salt, pepper, wild mushrooms, herbs to taste.
Roughly around the ham n pea soup lines but much more filling and warming. The last time I made one of theses was on a freezing cold campsite somewhere in deepest Cornwall and the family devoured it like a pack of starving wolves .............. oh yeah, that reminds me, the reason for ‘joining the fire’ back then was coz we still had wolves over there................. <sigh>
Hth ;o)

Travellings a no no for me cos sat nav says stay in the left hand lane but really means carrry on ahead till u bear left ffs

LMAO , don't you just love those things?
I have to say the only time mine confuses me is in the city, out in the sticks it's easy peasy. I love putting mine on shortest route and exploring tiny single lane tracks in the middle of nowhere lol.
means you drive slower so use less juice, and see some amazin countryside ;o)

Having 200 users testing and a side by side rollout is a vast improvement on the old Friday afternoon "hit and run" implementations some of us have seen before! :lol2:

Was it only me that enjoyed these? :giggle:

Now in days gone by, there was an old saying that I’ll try to clean up a bit here, but the basic concept from a blokes point of view was ..... ,
“Fanny will draw you further than dynamite will blow ya” innocent

rotflmao Oh Pete, that is soooo funny! I'd love to know what the pre-clean up saying was! :rotflmao:
Thanks for the rest of your post too though, much food for thought.

Old, Young, .... what’s the diff? dunno
since recently breaking the half century I've come to realise that it really doesn't matter. (as long as it's legal)
I could give the same answer as in a previous thread, if the chemistry is right, the fgs get it on, one life, live it!
I mean it’s not like we are talking about finding a life partner here <though sometimes i do wonder at certain peoples motives> Its a lifestyle scene, it's called 'Swinging' :dunno:
Young or old, if it feels good, do it!
I soo need to start using a spell checke again surprisedops?
imho wink

I've been 28 for the past few years or so now and I feel as a younger member (oooerr Mrs "member* titter) that the older members are just older and the younger ones younger If the younger were older and the older younger then both the oldyoung and the youngold would have common ground. Your thoughts please?

You're bored again aintcha? rolleyes
