Yes, it is a sad day for us all, if this really is the last Wigan Munch. Though I do remember a rumour that it would be the last Wigan Munch about 18 months ago! Since then there have been three more, so we am still hoping ...
I remember so well our first Wigan "mini" munch, in a different venue, which the Naughty Wigan Couple kindly opened to people who had not done much posting. Which suited us perfectly!
We loved that one, and we have loved every one since, including and especially last night (the most recent one always seems the best!)
So thanks to you all for your company and the fun we had last night. Especially to the stars of the show, the Naughty Wigan Couple!!!!!!

I do hope Mr and Mrs Naughty Wigan Couple get some recognition from the Wigan Tourist Board. You must have done as much for the Wigan economy over the years as ... well, let's say Wigan Pier.
And you must have done even more for Wigan's reputation because every event is so fantastic. We even cheer when Wigan wins at football ...
Which is a long way of saying we had a wonderful evening, and thank you so much.
Also to our friends, for their excellent company. Even to BoroughB, though I have a very large bruise where you trod on me dancing (I was behind you at the time and thank goodness you weren't wearing your stilletos!)

It was a totally well organised munch and great fun.
The Swingers Bingo was a brilliant "You only Live Twice Breaker". And clearly provided a very effective "Licence to Mingle".
And the lettering on the name badges was big enough to read in the dark!

Great idea. Given how friendly Munchers really are, it is extraordinary how difficult it can be to get talking. I even met a used car salesman at a Nottingham Munch who finds it difficult, even though he could strike up a conversation to anyone, anytime - except at a Munch!
My personal solution is never to sit down - at least that way you tend to bump into people, if nothing else.

PS Can you think of a better word than 'ice breaker' - it sounds like one of those dreadful training courses run by HR people.

Gangsters and Molls was clearly an inspiration, with so many fellas dressed up as well as the gals.

We're from Yorkshire, but we've done most of our 'munching' on the other side of the Pennines. Indeed some of it hosted by the Naughty Wigan Couple, who I see to be venturing over here!
