Joking apart I think it is pretty apparent that there are many people who have had / are having what cannot be described as a 'Customer Delight' experience with AOL.

Don't get into 'Facebook' that is just so sad and incredibly adictive. You can play silly games, send aimless invites to people you apperently knew in years gone by but can't really remember.

Hmmmm....Ok I was just trying to impress with teh extra large bit! If I was honest its more of a baby elephant size but I think I washed them on hot and they shrunk!

You are right! We are doing ourselves no favours, our reputations as repectable, professional, considerate and intelligent members of the SH community is being shot to bits!
More importantly our reputation as incredibly sexy, adventurous, imaginative and 'do not miss us!' people may not stand up to closer imspection.

Morning T & K, and very nice to see you again, shame we cant chat more!!!
We also have been with AOL for many, many years but I do have to say we have been experiencing more and more issues with them of late. No just SH where there have been a few problems over the last 12 months. But also with many other sites, some of which haven't even been swinging sites or use of chatrooms.
I do think that sooner rather than later, despite being such 'valued' customers of AOL, we will have no alternative but to go elsewhere.
I was going to sign up to some TV, Phone & Broadband deal but I do hear that there will be a serious 'satelite' challenge to Sky later this year from a non-UK based organisation. So will probably go for a straight broadband deal. I did see earlier in this thread that someone did have problems getting their 'mac' code from AOL. This is used when switching suppliers.

I'm glad you seem to have had a restful night, slept per chance to dream.
Personally, I look like s**t, but no change there then!
I am typing this under the table as I think they are coming to get me to lock me up in some home for people with disturbed minds.
Hmmmm... I wonder if they use AOL or if I will be allowed to go online at all? I am also wondering if all the phyciactric nurses all look like Jo Brand? Actually she is begining to look attractive....

Met Sister Angelina as planned this afternoon. We are going out clubbing later. Never knew these nuns wore leather, pvc and crotchless knickers under their habits! Who cares about the chatroom!

And now I have woken up and still can't get in!
And yes Wakey I did get that call from AOL saying that as we were there best customers they would increase band size and reduce our costs per month if we signed up for another 18mths.
I did say that I thought speed was down to the capacity of the phone lines so it was a bit of a hollow guesture. I also said that given we were having so many problems I don't think I would want to commit to another 18mths. They said thanks and put the phone down... thanks for sorting teh probs out AOL!
I do appreciate the time and effort people from SH are taking to sort this out. But please...... fix it before I have to watch casualty tonight!!
I am in a mischevious mood and need to vent my spleen in the chatrooms. Cilla is off out running an Ann Summers Party tonight so I need some distraction.

You are right it is a sticky problem. One of the problems is teh interpretation of the AUP and T&Cs - they indicate respect for all and; after warning an ability and entitlement to make them leave. This view is not teh same as some of teh moderators making it difficult to know where you stand.

I am sure that this posting will create a little controversy however, as this is an adult site I am sure the tabling of reasoned personal views are welcomed. These are an expression of our opinion.
The subject I want to invite comment on is the set-up and control of rooms for Couples and Fems and, the approach of single males.
We are not looking for single males, I am sure that those who read our profile can see that this quite clearly stated. As a result we set-up or participate in rooms that are quite obviously geared to couples and fems.
Last night we set up such a room. At one point we had 71 participants, 29 of which were single guys. There was at the time over 1500 people in the chatrooms as a whole, so plently of choice and opportunity to talk to many varied and interesting people. At one point our PC crashed, we were frozen out; we could not get back into our own room because it was innundated by single men. In accordance to the chatrooms T&Cs which state " If you open a room you must warn someone before you kick them out"; we politely asked on many occasions to if the single males would respect the intent of the room title and leave. On this basis we are struggling to see where we are in conflict with the rules, however we were told in no uncertain terms that we were wrong to take this approach.
I know that someone will suggest that we use a passworded room; this is in conflict with teh T&Cs as multiple room set-up is not allowed. Irrespective of this, we come here to enjoy ourselves not to admin and vet access through the circulation of passwords. I suppose one would ask the question is it better to jump between two rooms giving access or spending all night asking guys to show respect in an open room.
I also refer to the T&Cs again which further state "We encourage everyone to treat each other with respect". This raises two issues; is it right having given out numerous requests for the single males to respect the participants and purpose of the room to then reluctantly have to resort to kicking them out. Secondly, the fact that these guys are in teh room in the first place showing any respect to the fems and couples who wish to be there without single male involement?
I am sure all can appreciate that this is not a subject we are the only people concerned about; by the same token we are interested to hear the considered views of all interested people; couples, fems, moderators and the single males.
We are hoping that by raising this difficult issue we can have a better understanding and appreciation of the problem and hoefully a reasonable solution can be achieved.

Glad to hear I'm not that only one who has been having probs with server 2. I have been experienceing this for over 3 moths now. I have raised a ticket and although the heldesk team did offer a few suggestions I was told that no one else has been having similar problems.
It has reached the stage that I cannot now go into server 2 cos I will get kicked out after about 2 mins. It would be great if someone could get to the botttom of this as a number of the rooms I used to frequent I now cannot go into. This of course may be a blessing for some people!!

On the contary, and I think you do us a dis-service. We spend what we think is plenty of time, chatting with people before the four of us agree to get together. We use the SH chatrooms, MSN, Camming and even...we talk on the phone!
