Where two or three people invade a thread and start a soppy sort of 'I think you're great' and 'I think you're great too' kind of stuff. Hard to describe really but it doesn't take more than a stroll around some recent threads to see what I mean. It totally puts off others from posting which is more than a shame.
And I once again agree with HLB about the multiple quotes thing. There actually was thread a long time ago with that specific aim in mind and it made me get a headache very quickly. Saw the same sort of stuff this weekend too, cold dark room required.

Which is Where I think the Allegations of Cash cow come into it. The admin were Invited because they held the future of the site in their hands, and of course I think it is fair to say that people were genuinely curious as to who was now in charge ( at the time) The SHM editor thing has become an issue because, from what I can see, generally the whole SHM thing is unwanted, and is just another futile, and I'm afraid to say - desperate, attempt to squeeze a bit more money from us.
Again - Just my perception!

I Know that I am having no money wrung from me as an Individual, and to a greater degree - that is why i have kept my mouth shut, my head low, and carried on in a "there, but for the grace of god go I" manner. and to a certain degree, I suppose it's why I have felt that my own opinion bears no worth - because at the end of the day "i'm not exactly paying for it am i?"
My use of "us" was in a collective sense. And I know at least ten or fifteen similar members that also feel that way, but alas are also either too afraid to post, or feel uncomfortable.

tbh - It's this kind of thing, or even the threat of it, which stopped me posting on the forum about a year ago. I accept that due to my lack of posting recently - my comments, and general opinion may be of no relevance, However - surely the fact that I also feel like it's constantly on "egg shells" in here, and the slightest wrong word, or action could get you a ban - And thats just me - I'm sure there are a hell of a lot more!

And it seems that it's the same for everyone, including me for example. Should I be 'scared' into not saying my piece cos I'm an easy target when it comes to those with a grudge, or those who got caught out being two faced or those who can't have a debate without it turning nasty and personal?

My Post was just a voice of frustration, generally. I honestly grieve when I come back to visit here. What used to be my home, has now become somewhere I no longer really recognise, nor feel comfortable. It's because the whole site appears to be over-regulated, over controlled, rules for anything and everything that a lot of people like myself don't post here these days. I guess I've just used this post as an outlet! I sincerely hope someone up above is paying attention! ( I apologise if it is Off Topic)

Except for instances where the chat server just gives up the ghost and decides it wants to be a teapot instead - which is does frequently lol
Plus as the new one is un-acceptably slow - really leaves little option. Perhaps bells and whistles and flashy bits isn't really the way forward after all. I think, most people, when asked, Would opt for a fairly plain, but fully stable and operational chatroom, as opposed to something that seems to be such a nightmare to even beta test!
