You can only try to help her to help herself.
Don't feel you HAVE to do something about it.
Just be there to support her and keep trying to advise her (but don't overdo it!!!) If she knows you have her best interests at heart she might listen to you or come to you for that help she needs to do what you think is right.
But be aware that some people have to REALLY plumb the depths before they actually do anything to make their lives better. Sometimes, changes are really hard to make when you are low or depressed.
Just keep being there for her Kat.
When I was younger and much sportier I had to win anything I played.
I might not have been that good at the sport but I would always try way to hard, get pissed off if I lost and always want a re-match.
I didn't really do team sports except football & cricket because I wanted any success or failure to be purely down to me.
I was the same in any sport, be it badminton, squash, tennis, snooker/pool, motorcycle racing, fencing, athletics.
But now I'm an older git I really don't give a shit!!!
Oh, and all my music CD's have to be in alphabetical order.
But that's just sensible 'cos it would take so bloody long to find a particular one otherwise!!!
I've been giving blood for over 20 years now, except for a brief hiatus after having a tattoo, so hopefully loads of patients have benefited from my precious plasma & platelets!!!
I’ve never had a problem with needles or blood but I can understand why others do. The ex used to faint at the sight of a needle!!!
When I was much younger & sportier (and not covered by quite so much fat!!!) the hospital always used to let the trainees practice on me ‘cos the veins in my arms were so prominent!!! They were a real easy target for first timers!!!
Now I’m a sad old git I only go to get a cup of tea & a biscuit and try, in vain, to chat up a young nurse!!!
Manolishi, I've seen this on another site :-

Great thread sercher.
About 6 months ago I moved house and was finally able to unbox all my old vinyl that had been in the loft for years.
Been listening to some right classic stuff recently.
A lot of them have been mentioned in this thread by others but see if these names ring any bells and bring back some happy memories!!!

Rush have a new album out in March and will be touring in '07 so hopefully they'll come to Britain. Gotta get to see them!!!
If anyone is organising an SH social to a 'decent' rock concert then please incluse me in a PM 'cos I really need an excuse to re-live my youth, sing my heart out and play some outrageous air guitar!!!
Come on SH.........
let's RAWK!!!!
Bugger!!! My partner for the night, Alleyson, has had to cancel.
No way am I missing the Munch so I'm gonna have to come to my 2nd ever Munch on my own-some!!!
Luckily I don't live far away so I can get rat-arsed drunk and still stagger home safely.
That should help cure SOME of my nerves.
So if you see me in the Munch be nice, be gentle, 'cos I'm on me own!!!
