I know what you mean about the chat rooms, but I suggest you start in the bigger rooms and just join in with wherever the conversation is flowing. Not if its clearly a 1-1 conversation, but most are group gossips, etc and people won't tell you to go away just because they don't know you yet!
Or else you can comment (favourably!) on one of the cams if there's something nice to watch... And you'll find that others will most likely be commenting on the same show.

You won't be hassled or hustled into swapping at any decent club, and - as pointed out - there's a list on this site with more details about them all and reviews.
My favourite one in the S of England is Abfabs, right next to Heathrow. I'd suggest maybe a Tues or Weds night to start with, as it's quieter, and you can soak up the atmosphere in peace, have a swim, sauna, chill out, etc.
Suggest you find a club that seems to suit, then give them a ring to ask about practicalities - dress code, valuables, parking, bringing drinks, etc. You'll get a feel for the place by chatting to staff on the phone, and when you go, make sure you explain to the staff it's your first time and they'll show you round and explain what you need to know.
We've all had a first time once, so we've all been there!

Indeed..... I've wasted time (and money - booking hotel rooms, etc) on things which looked as if the people involved were really genuine - until I suddenly got a terse cancellation or just total radio silence.
This *could* be totally genuine, but they have been on the site since either 2005 (according to the profile) or 2008 (according to the avatar above) and this is apparently their first post. Coupled with zilch on the profile I'd be suspicious too...
