Sorry to be so boring, but we would say check your grammar.
Profiles and posts with poor grammar and spelling immediately put us off and we know others feel the same way.

There are also many of us who arn't put off by such things and prefer to get to know the person rather than judge them on their spelling and grammar smile
Show her your profile, i am sure she will be thrilled and ready to join in !
Or maybe you will come home to find the locks changed smile

Never understood these goodbye posts.... If you don't like it, dont log on, don't renew your sub, don't moan about it.
I joined sh about 9yrs ago, and only recently returned after an 18month break.
I didn't post saying I was going, I didn't post saying hello I'm back....I just popped into the pool again n started chatting.
If you don't like it ...just go ..no ones gonna beg you to stay......just saying like

Everyone does things differently though, maybe they thought what they did was the best way for them smile
It also serves as good feedback for admin and the owners of the site wink
Very true :) and a good reason to do it :)

Many years ago i met a guy a few times, he was fun and the meets were good he turned up on time etc, he was single too which i prefered.
One time he didn't turn up though and later i got a text messege saying he hadn't been able to meet cus his wife had had a baby that day !!!!!!
IMO anyone who hits someone at work should be sacked unless fighting is their job smile
That includs footballers, truck drivers, teachers, tv presenters etc etc :)
I am amazed that there are still people around who think JC shouldn't have been sacked for hitting someone at work !
Do people seriously think it is ok for one person to hit another person while at work or indeed anywhere ?
I can just imagine it at my workplace .... not !!!!!

I can't think of a film that has suprised me but in SOA some of the deaths have caught me unawares and suprised me, i even read ahead online about each epsiode before watching watching them sometimes in order to prepare !! All except the very last series which held no suprises due to all the publicity for it smile

i only just finished watching Season 6 of SOA and the final episode shocked me a bit as i'd not seen any publicity whatsoever - I even cried ;(
I have cried at most of the deaths but Opies was the most upseting and even now i cry about it ..... i saw a picture on fb which had someone crying and it said something such as "leave me alone while i mourn the death of a fictional character" which was very apt lol.
Season 7 has more deaths but i knew about all of them due to the publicity to it being the last ever season sad
Now i have watched them all (including season 7) i am probably going to watch them all again from the begining cus i love it so much :):)

no Nellie you are not miserable and blinkered. You have a right to your view as does anyone else. See link below...using the N word....calling an Asian a slope....saying cars were made for gays...saying lorry drivers kill prostitutes......NO..I don't find it funny either. Each to their own I guess.
But that's not what he is being sacked for. If and I say if, as I only read what has been written same as anyone else, he thumped a fellow co-worker, then same as in any other walk of life you should be sacked. No place for personal violence in the work place in my book.
Reminds me of football a bit. At one time waving an inflatable banana at a black player was considered banter and funny. Last week at the match, the Wolves played Brighton. One guy constantly kept shouting " wheres your handbag " and " Go home and bum your boyfriend why don't ya " Obviously referring to the large gay community in Brighton. Some laughed, I and two others told him to shut up with his homophobic comments. He said it was just banter and just a laugh. Maybe it was in the 1970's, but thankfully I hope we as a society have moved on.
If you are in any doubt about above comments by Mr Clarkson...please see telegraphs 60 sec clip.

are they really funny

:thumbup::thumbup:
I'm not miserable or blinkered but i don't find the programe funny nowadays, after watching it for a while it all got to be very "samey", i now find it boring rather than funny.
Many people do like it but then many people like reality shows and soaps too and i don't understand those interests either.
Good job we are all different and like different things smile
If he did what is being reported (hit a producer) then he should be sacked.
If i or anyone else at my workplace hit another person there then we would be sacked and i would imagine that is the same rule at most work places.
I used to watch Top Gear but havn't watched it for ages now as i found it to be boring in the end as each episode is roughly the same as all the other.
I prefer the other presenters too and if JK does get sacked then i might watch it with a new presenter there to see if it is more interesting now.
Although to be honest i find most telli boring anyway !
I have been here for approx 9 years, i was here first as a single fem although now as a couple and a fem smile.
I have to admit that when i think about it then and now, it's not much different now than it was then :)
I prefer guys to be shaved or trimmed. Although if a guy is very hairy on his body then i only like them to be trimmed as i think they look odd if they are shaved then smile
Sorry please take us off the list, we have changed our minds and will stay in social retirement x

I wonder how many of the people who bought the magazine this week did so in the hope of selling it for profit one day?

Wish I had thought of that and bought a copy .... probably to late now though sad

And so you should nellie.
It just doesn't need to be punctuated with humongous expenditure on presents which people can ill-afford for no reason other than the advertising magnates suggest otherwise - that your Christmas will somehow be incomplete without spending a King's ransom on it.

Well to be honest i like giving presents to people i love and i do spend a lot of money (even though i don't earn much) but thats up to me, i feel happy doing that and i love the pleasure it gives to my husband, our children, their partners and our grandchild.
Each to their own smile
I love, love, love Christmas.
I love spending even more time with my family and loved ones smile
It's a great time in our family :)

I don't mind paying it when i travel that way and I don't mind how they ask me to pay, if i want to travel that way I have to pay ... plain and simple smile

I don't understand your thinking.
It's a road, like any other. It just happens to be supported by a bridge, which was paid for many years ago.
We don't pay for our other roads (yet), so why should we have to pay for this one??
Well my thinking is that it's there and in order to use it i have to pay, so when i use it i do pay !
It doesn't bother me and i don't get all het up about it as that's the way it is.
The same as a few other roads and bridges charge for me to use, i pay there too if i want to use them. If i don't want to pay then i wouldn't use them !
My workplace uses zero hours contracts for some staff, probably about a third of staff have them at the moment.
They are very common in my line of work and if they weren't allowed to have them then most similar companies would stop trading.
The staff who have such contracts know what they are getting when they agree to it so if they don't like it then they don't work here.
Most of the staff who have those contracts are fine with them and actually prefer them as it suits their way of life, rather than knowing they have to work set hours each week.
They get paid a lot more an hour than staff such as me who are on fulltime permanent contracts, they learn to budget in order to cover the lack of holiday pay, they get sick pay anyway if they are frequent workers for us and they get sick pay at that higher rate than i get.
So it works for some people smile
