) when Pope John Paul II came to town. The school I attended was Roman Catholic, had a heeeuuuge playing field ( plenty of space for Air Vatican's helicopter to land ), and was only a mile from Wembley stadium. I don't remember too much about the interview ( I was only 6 or 7 and had not grasped the significance of it all ), but I do remember being asked what I was going to wear, and with it being a Saturday arrival and a special occaision I started reeling off my Sunday Best outift - till I got interrupted by the headmisstress saying " No, you are going to be wearing school uniform! " 
and I am sure I gave her a look that translates as the 7 y.o. equivelent of " :fuckinghell: You're 'aving a :censored: larf, int ya? I tell ya, you can poke that right up your :moon: ! School uniform?....on a Saturday?.... :censored: off!" etc.
