If you want to be a plumber ....you have to work or pay.
If you want to be an electrican ....you have to work or pay.
If you want to be a Doctor or an Architect ....you can swan about for years getting pissed and the rest of us are supposed to pick up the bill.
Just another demonstration of the less well off supporting the rich.

Sorry Flower, that's not true. If a school leaver goes to college to learn to be a plumber/electrician, hairdresser, mechanic etc its futher education and is free.
Most colleges that cater for school leavers for vocational qualifications, NVQ's, GNVQ's etc dont charge tuition fees.
Not sure if over 18's have to pay for the course or not.
OK ... I give in ! I can`t find any free nvq courses that aren`t job related.
Where do you go to find them ?
NVQ's are job related. Thats the point of them. (Is that what you mean? Im not sure) And they are free for 16-19 year olds. I've just looked on Hull College's website, I cant find anything about fees easily and honestly Im just too tired to search but the reason I know school leavers dont pay for vocational courses is because my step son is on a plumbing course. Its further education which is free for 16-19yr olds and there are courses on all sorts of things. As I said though, I dont know if its the same for over 19's.

Its not what you know or who you know, but what you know about who you know wink

Or what you think you know! Or is it what you're told? Who knows!

Well freed after four weeks of an eight week sentence.
What a joke really.

Thats the way for anyone who behaves inside though isn't it? Don't most offenders who behave inside only do half the sentence or there abouts?
Happy birthday minxysub biggrin :rose: we share birthdays! What a great day for birthdays :D It's also Dawn French's birthday today too lol
Most hospital car parks are NPC so its not the hospital thats greedy. I agree with you, parking charges are unacceptably high.
here our hosital is in Hull so anyone from the south bank of the Humber also have the bridge toll of EACH WAY to fork out for too! It makes hospital VERY expensive indeed.
Yeah, ya gotta get HD or in a couple of years you'll be after another new telly. 3D prob a waste of money at this stage though. Just wear your glasses you got when you went to see Avatar hahaha!
Forfeits are fun! You could have people swapping clothes with their partner, kiss the ceiling (not that easy), perfom oral with a banana (particularly funny if a straight guy tries to do it)or for later on when people have their kit off, naked handstand and starjumps are always hilarious.
I dont think there's anything in it either but I am interested in where the ideas come from. Most have origins in our far history when science couldn't explain things and people needed to beleive in things like lucky charms.
Its interesting how so many things have made there way into our every day language that you might not notice. Sayings like 'Take it with a pinch of salt', 'Touch wood' (why are salt and wood lucky???) and saying bless you if someone sneezes to ward off the bubonic plague.
The other side is that it implants doubt and fear into some. Anyone who really believes that something bad will happen if they dont chuck spilled salt over their left shoulder, or if they break a mirror will probably see something bad happen and attribute it to superstition.
As far as i can tell what happens, happens regardless of lucky charms, avoiding unlucky charms or praying. Superstition and religion, i believe are the exact same thing, just ones more organised.
